The Object

Water cascadesfrom a sculpted brass arc

The Hou Bathroom Faucet is formed from solid brass — a single curved spout that draws water up and over, releasing it as a smooth, wide cascade rather than a narrow stream. The lever sits on the side and turns with precise resistance, so you find the right temperature in a single movement. Tall enough for vessel sinks in either height, and certified to NSF/ANSI 61 and WaterSense standards for flow rate and material safety.
Why you'll love it
  • Solid brass construction — durable, corrosion-resistant
  • Curved waterfall spout — wide, smooth cascading flow
  • Single lever for precise temperature and flow control
  • Available in two heights to suit vessel or standard sinks
  • WaterSense and NSF/ANSI 61-certified — safe and efficient
Details

Water off first, then it's supply lines and sealant — wall-mounted and counter-mounted faucets install a little differently, so follow the steps for your type.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — wall-mounted or counter-mounted; check your product's description first
  • Thread compatibility — G1/2 BSP is standard outside North America; NPT-compatible options are available for U.S. and Canadian plumbing (an adapter may be required)

What you'll need

  • Adjustable wrench, pipe tape (Teflon), basin wrench
  • Plumber's putty or silicone sealant, bucket or towel
  • Drill and anchors (for wall-mounted units)

Step by step

  1. Wall-mounted — turn off the water supply — shut off hot and cold valves and open nearby faucets to release pressure.
  2. Wall-mounted — prepare the water lines — confirm wall outlets for hot and cold water align with your faucet's inlets, and make any plumbing adjustments before mounting.
  3. Wall-mounted — install mounting hardware — mark and drill holes, then mount the support plate with the provided anchors or screws.
  4. Wall-mounted — connect supply lines — wrap threaded connections with plumber's tape and attach hot and cold lines securely to the valve inlets.
  5. Wall-mounted — mount the faucet body — secure the spout and handles onto the mounted base, tightening with a wrench without overtightening.
  6. Wall-mounted — seal and finish — apply silicone sealant around the base fittings and let it cure as recommended.
  7. Wall-mounted — turn on the water and test — check for leaks and test the temperature control.
  8. Counter-mounted — turn off the water supply — shut off both valves under the sink and drain any remaining water from the faucet.
  9. Counter-mounted — position the faucet and handles — insert through the pre-drilled holes on the countertop or sink deck.
  10. Counter-mounted — secure from beneath — use mounting nuts and washers from below the sink.
  11. Counter-mounted — connect the water supply lines — use plumber's tape on all threaded joints and attach hot and cold lines with flexible connectors.
  12. Counter-mounted — seal the base — apply plumber's putty or silicone around the faucet base if required.
  13. Counter-mounted — turn on the water and inspect — check for steady flow, correct temperature, and tight seals.

Good to know

  • Always verify thread compatibility (BSP vs. NPT) and use an adapter where needed.
  • If you're unsure about your plumbing system, consult a licensed plumber.
  • Clean aerators periodically for the best water flow.
  • For outdoor wall applications, make sure you have frost protection in colder climates.

On the form

One arc of brassthe spout earns its shape

The spout is not a pipe with a curve added — it's drawn as a continuous arc from base to tip, so the water travels the full length before it falls. The lever is set at the back of the base, low enough to operate with one hand while the other is under the flow. Finished to resist water marks, the brass surface wipes clean without polish.

Frequently asked

Solid brass — a dense, naturally corrosion-resistant material that maintains its structural integrity and surface finish far longer than zinc or chrome-plated alternatives.

The curved spout lifts the water up through an arc and releases it in a wide, smooth cascade — a quieter and more visually considered flow than a standard tap.

Yes, specifically so. The taller 28 cm height option places the spout well above the rim of most vessel sinks, with enough clearance for comfortable hand-washing.

A single side lever that controls both temperature and flow rate in one movement — smooth resistance, easy to find your setting without running both hot and cold full.

The brass finish is applied over solid brass and is more resistant to surface wear than plated finishes over base metal. Wipe clean with a soft cloth — no harsh cleaners needed.

It operates between 15 PSI (minimum) and 75 PSI (maximum), with optimal performance at around 52 PSI — standard for most residential water supplies.

2.1 gallons per minute — within WaterSense guidelines for efficiency, which means noticeably less water use than older faucets without a reduction in perceived flow.

It uses a standard G1/2 BSP thread, common outside North America. For US and Canadian plumbing, an NPT adapter may be required. Professional installation by a licensed plumber is recommended.

Yes. The smooth brass surfaces have no grooves to trap mineral deposits. Wipe regularly with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or vinegar-based descalers on polished brass finishes.

Solid brass, a genuinely considered arc form, and certifications that matter — NSF/ANSI 61, WaterSense, and UPC. Comes with a one-year warranty extendable to two or five years, 14-day returns, and free worldwide shipping in 15–21 business days.
