Cross handlesbrass beneath the black

The Hoek Faucet is solid brass throughout, finished in matte black with exposed hardware and cross-shaped handles that give a clear, mechanical grip. The triple-hole mounting keeps the plumbing visible and honest — no concealed parts, no decorative covers. Flow rate is 1.8 GPM; pressure range 14–70 PSI; G1/2 BSP thread with NPT compatibility available for North American systems.
Why you'll love it
  • Solid brass construction — corrosion-resistant, built to last
  • Cross-handle design — firm, ergonomic grip even with wet hands
  • Matte-black finish with exposed hardware — industrial and honest
  • 1.8 GPM flow rate · 14–70 PSI pressure range
  • G1/2 BSP thread · NPT adapter available for North America
Details

Water off first, then it's supply lines and sealant — wall-mounted and counter-mounted faucets install a little differently, so follow the steps for your type.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — wall-mounted or counter-mounted; check your product's description first
  • Thread compatibility — G1/2 BSP is standard outside North America; NPT-compatible options are available for U.S. and Canadian plumbing (an adapter may be required)

What you'll need

  • Adjustable wrench, pipe tape (Teflon), basin wrench
  • Plumber's putty or silicone sealant, bucket or towel
  • Drill and anchors (for wall-mounted units)

Step by step

  1. Wall-mounted — turn off the water supply — shut off hot and cold valves and open nearby faucets to release pressure.
  2. Wall-mounted — prepare the water lines — confirm wall outlets for hot and cold water align with your faucet's inlets, and make any plumbing adjustments before mounting.
  3. Wall-mounted — install mounting hardware — mark and drill holes, then mount the support plate with the provided anchors or screws.
  4. Wall-mounted — connect supply lines — wrap threaded connections with plumber's tape and attach hot and cold lines securely to the valve inlets.
  5. Wall-mounted — mount the faucet body — secure the spout and handles onto the mounted base, tightening with a wrench without overtightening.
  6. Wall-mounted — seal and finish — apply silicone sealant around the base fittings and let it cure as recommended.
  7. Wall-mounted — turn on the water and test — check for leaks and test the temperature control.
  8. Counter-mounted — turn off the water supply — shut off both valves under the sink and drain any remaining water from the faucet.
  9. Counter-mounted — position the faucet and handles — insert through the pre-drilled holes on the countertop or sink deck.
  10. Counter-mounted — secure from beneath — use mounting nuts and washers from below the sink.
  11. Counter-mounted — connect the water supply lines — use plumber's tape on all threaded joints and attach hot and cold lines with flexible connectors.
  12. Counter-mounted — seal the base — apply plumber's putty or silicone around the faucet base if required.
  13. Counter-mounted — turn on the water and inspect — check for steady flow, correct temperature, and tight seals.

Good to know

  • Always verify thread compatibility (BSP vs. NPT) and use an adapter where needed.
  • If you're unsure about your plumbing system, consult a licensed plumber.
  • Clean aerators periodically for the best water flow.
  • For outdoor wall applications, make sure you have frost protection in colder climates.

Frequently asked

Solid brass throughout — chosen for its resistance to corrosion and its ability to hold a matte-black finish without fading or flaking over time.

The cross-shaped handles and exposed hardware treat the mechanics as part of the aesthetic — no covers, no concealment. It reads as honestly industrial rather than decorative.

Minimum 14 PSI, optimal around 42 PSI, maximum 70 PSI. It works with standard domestic water supplies across most countries.

1.8 GPM — a comfortable flow that balances pressure and water efficiency, certified WaterSense.

The cross profile gives four natural grip points, so turning the handle is firm and controlled — especially useful with wet or soapy hands.

Yes — the exposed hardware, matte-black finish, and cross handles suit industrial, modern, and transitional bathrooms. It also works in kitchen sinks where the same aesthetic is carried through.

No — the exposed fittings are solid brass, the same material as the body, and the matte-black finish is applied to resist everyday moisture and cleaning products.

It mounts to a triple-hole setup with a G1/2 BSP thread (NPT adapter available for North American plumbing). We recommend professional installation by a licensed plumber.

Yes — wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals on the matte-black finish. The solid brass body won't corrode with normal bathroom use.

Industrial, modern, and transitional bathrooms — especially where exposed pipework, matte-black fixtures, or concrete surfaces are already part of the design. Free worldwide shipping, typically 15–21 business days.
