Alabaster is naturally translucent — the mineral layers within the stone diffuse the eight E26 LEDs into a soft, warm glow rather than direct light. The swirling veins catch the light differently at different angles, making the stone feel alive.

The disc reads as a single composed form overhead — it draws the eye as a whole object rather than as a collection of individual elements. The circle also ensures the glow spreads evenly in all directions below it.
