Push to toggletwist to set the level

The Harboore Switch is machined from solid brass and operates in two gestures: push the knob to turn the light on or off, rotate it to set the brightness. The click is satisfying and the rotation is smooth. Designed for 3-way wiring, UL listed for the US and Canada, LED-compatible via Triac dimming, and handcrafted to fit a standard 1-gang electrical box.
Why you'll love it
  • Solid brass — handcrafted, smooth rotation, satisfying click
  • 3-way compatible — replaces existing multi-switch setups
  • Triac dimming — works with LED and incandescent loads
  • UL listed for US and Canada — no safety compromise
  • Fits any 1-gang US standard electrical box, installs in five minutes
Details

A straightforward swap — power off, match the wires, new dimmer in.

What's included

Brass plate, diamond-cut dimmer knob, and mounting accessories.

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, wire stripper

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — at your circuit breaker or fuse box.
  2. Remove the old cover plate — unscrew it and set it aside.
  3. Take out the old switch — unscrew it from the electrical box and pull it out.
  4. Disconnect the wires — loosen the screws, or if back-inserted, cut and strip the ends.
  5. Connect the wires to the new switch — wrap around the screws and tighten, or insert into the holes if your switch uses those.
  6. Secure the new switch — tuck the wires back into the electrical box and fasten with the provided screws.
  7. Attach the new cover plate — place it over the switch and screw it in.
  8. Turn the power back on — at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
  9. Test your new switch — rotate the dimmer knob; your lights should brighten and dim smoothly.

How it works

Push and twisttwo gestures, full control

Most dimmer switches require a toggle and a separate slider. The Harboore reduces that to one control: a brass knob that clicks in to switch and rotates to dim. The Triac dimming protocol handles LED and incandescent loads without flicker across the range. The brass body is heavier than a standard plastic faceplate — the weight is immediate when you touch it.

What makes this dimmer worth specifying.
One control

Push to switch on or off; twist to set brightness — one brass knob, both functions.

3-way ready

Designed for 3-way systems — replaces switches that control a single light from two locations.

UL listed

Certified for the US and Canada — meets safety standards for both LED and incandescent loads.

Frequently asked

A 3-way dimmer controls a single light (or set of lights) from two switch locations — for example, at the top and bottom of a staircase. The rotary knob on the Harboore handles the dimming; the 3-way wiring handles the multi-point switching.

Push the brass knob in — it clicks on and off. To adjust brightness, rotate the knob clockwise (brighter) or counter-clockwise (dimmer). The two actions are independent, so the light remembers its dimmed level when you switch back on.

Solid brass, handcrafted. The faceplate and knob are brass throughout — no plastic surround, no hollow sections. The weight and finish are immediately apparent compared to a standard plastic dimmer.

Yes — the Harboore uses Triac (leading-edge) dimming, which is compatible with most LED bulbs and drivers. Check that your specific LED bulbs are marked as dimmable; most modern LEDs are.

Yes — UL listed for the US and Canada. The certification covers both the electrical safety of the switch and its compatibility with the stated load ratings: 150W LED and 300W incandescent per switch position.

The Harboore is designed to fit a standard 1-gang US electrical box and installs in approximately five minutes with a screwdriver. However, working inside an electrical box carries risk — professional installation by a licensed electrician is recommended if you are not experienced with wiring.

The Harboore fits a single 1-gang box. For multi-gang configurations, contact Nava — we can advise on compatible multi-gang covers and how to run 3-way setups across adjacent positions.

Yes — the push function has a positive click; the rotary turn is smooth and damped. The solid brass body adds to the experience: the switch feels planted in the wall rather than loose, and the knob has real weight when you rotate it.

Yes — it's specifically designed for 3-way systems. It replaces an existing 3-way toggle switch and connects to the same wiring. Pair it with a compatible 3-way switch (or a second Harboore) at the other control point.

No special tools — a flathead and Phillips screwdriver are all that's needed. The wiring follows standard US 3-way dimmer convention. Full installation instructions are included in the box. Covered by Nava's 1-year warranty.
