The Object

Glass orbs on ironthe light multiplied

The Haldarsvik mounts glass ball shades on a horizontal iron bar — one head for a bedside, five for a wide kitchen ceiling. Each E27 socket sits inside a clear globe so the bulb reads as a warm point of light rather than a fitting. Black or white finish; sloped-ceiling compatible; 50,000-hour LED life. A clean Nordic form that suits bedrooms, living rooms, and hallways.
Why you'll love it
  • 1 to 5 glass ball heads — scale the fixture to the room
  • Clear glass orbs — each bulb reads as a warm point of light
  • Iron bar in black or white — suits contemporary or Nordic interiors
  • Sloped-ceiling compatible, hardwired
  • E27 LEDs, 50,000-hour rated — replace like any standard bulb
Details

A close-to-ceiling install for low-clearance rooms — power off, mount the bracket, match the wires, done.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — direct to a standard ceiling junction box; sits close against the ceiling
  • Dimming — most socketed models dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Ceilings — flat ceilings only; for vaulted or sloped ceilings, look at semi-flush or pendant options instead
  • Power — hardwired to your home's electrical system

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — shut it off at the breaker panel and confirm with a voltage tester.
  2. Remove the fixture cover — twist or unclip the outer shade or base cover to expose the mounting plate and wiring.
  3. Install the mounting bracket — attach it to the ceiling junction box with the supplied screws, secure and level.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the junction box.
  5. Attach the fixture base — lift into place, align with the bracket, and secure with the provided screws so it sits flush against the ceiling.
  6. Reattach the cover — twist, clip, or fasten the decorative cover or diffuser back on.
  7. Restore power and test.

Good to know

  • Great for standard or low ceilings — hallways, bedrooms, closets.
  • Confirm your junction box can support the fixture's weight.
  • Follow local electrical codes.
  • When in doubt, bring in a licensed electrician.

On the form

Clear glassthe bulb inside becomes part of the form

The Haldarsvik's globe shades are clear glass rather than frosted or coloured — the E27 bulb inside is fully visible, which means the bulb choice matters. A warm filament-style LED reads as a glowing element; a standard clear LED reads as a point of light. The iron bar holds the globes at even intervals along its length, so a 5-head version reads as a structured row and a 1-head version as a deliberate single accent.

What to know before choosing the Haldarsvik for your ceiling.
One to five

1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 heads on the same bar form — size up or down for any room scale.

Clear glass orbs

The bulb is part of the design — choose a warm filament LED for a classic glow.

Clean iron bar, minimal canopy — reads quietly in Scandinavian and contemporary interiors.

Frequently asked

Iron bar and hardware in a black or white finish, with clear glass globes for the shades. The iron is the structural element; the glass orbs are sealed around the E27 socket.

Yes — the Haldarsvik takes E27 LEDs (not included) which are highly energy-efficient. Choose a warm filament-style LED at 6–10W for equivalent output to a 60W incandescent per head.

E27 LEDs typically last 15,000–25,000 hours depending on brand and quality. At 6 hours per day that's 7–11 years before replacement. The iron bar and glass shades are built for far longer.

Yes — living rooms, bedrooms, dining areas, hallways, and kitchens all suit the Haldarsvik. The 1-head version works as a bedside or reading light; the 5-head works as a full-room ceiling fixture.

The clean iron bar and clear glass orb form follows a Nordic minimalist design language. It adds structure to the ceiling without decorative excess — the bulb itself provides the visual warmth.

90–260V — compatible with standard domestic electrical supplies worldwide without a converter or adaptor.

The Haldarsvik is designed as a ceiling fixture. Wall mounting is not a standard configuration — contact us before ordering if a wall application is needed.

Yes — ceiling canopy and all mounting hardware are included. E27 bulbs are not included and must be sourced separately. Professional installation by a certified electrician is recommended.

The Haldarsvik hardwires to a standard ceiling junction box. The canopy covers the connection point. A certified electrician should handle the wiring; the physical mounting is straightforward.

That depends on the E27 bulb you choose — a warm white LED at 2,700–3,000 K creates a warm, inviting tone; a cool white at 4,000 K reads more contemporary and clinical. We recommend 2,700 K for living spaces.
