The Object

Cut through copperlight escapes the pattern

The Hagetmau Wall Lamp is a horizontal copper tube with cutout perforations along its length, each one letting the internal LED escape as small points of pattern on the wall. The acrylic layer behind the cutouts diffuses the glow before it escapes, so the overall light is even rather than spotted. Three lengths — 45, 57, 75 cm — with integrated LEDs and a dimmer switch included.
Why you'll love it
  • Cutout pattern casts soft detail onto the wall and mirror surround
  • Even diffused light from acrylic layer behind perforations
  • Three widths — 45, 57, or 75 cm — to match the mirror
  • Integrated LED, dimmable with dimmer switch included
  • Brass finish suits both modern and traditional bathrooms
Details

Most wall lamps are a simple bracket-and-wire job — but check your power type first, since hardwired, plug-in, and rechargeable models each install a little differently.

Before you begin

  • Dimming — most socketed lamps dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Power — hardwired, plug-in, or rechargeable depending on the model; check your product details
  • Mounting — wall-mount, hardware included
  • Indoor/outdoor — confirm your model is rated for outdoor use before installing outside

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver
  • Wire nuts (included for hardwired models)
  • Voltage tester
  • Power drill (for new mounting locations)

Step by step

  1. Identify your power type — hardwired, plug-in, or rechargeable. Follow the steps below for yours.
  2. If hardwired: turn off the power — switch off at your main electrical panel and confirm with a voltage tester.
  3. If hardwired: remove the old lamp — unscrew it and disconnect the wires by removing the wire nuts.
  4. If hardwired: attach the new mounting bracket — align it with your junction box or marked wall location and secure with the included screws.
  5. If hardwired: connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Twist and secure with wire nuts, then tuck neatly into the junction box.
  6. If hardwired: mount the fixture — align with the bracket and secure with the provided screws.
  7. If hardwired: install the bulb — correct type and wattage, if your model uses one.
  8. If hardwired: restore power and test.
  9. If plug-in: mount the bracket — with anchors or screws, then attach the fixture and plug it into a nearby outlet. Route the cord neatly.
  10. If rechargeable: mount the bracket — with screws and anchors, fully charge the lamp with the included cable, then install it onto the bracket and power on.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • Bring in a licensed electrician if you're unsure.
  • Dust and clean your fixture regularly to keep it looking its best.

On the detail

Perforationsform that doubles as a filter

The cutout pattern is structural as well as decorative — each perforation is a light aperture that, backed by the acrylic diffuser, releases an even spread without hotspots. From the front the pattern reads as texture; from the side it reads as depth. The wall plate is 10 cm, keeping the footprint compact above a mirror.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Three features that make the Hagetmau work harder than a plain bar.
Patterned output

Cutout perforations add surface texture and cast a subtle pattern on surrounding walls.

Dimmer included

A dimmer switch ships with the fixture — full control over brightness from day one.

Three sizes

45, 57, or 75 cm lengths to align precisely with different mirror and wall widths.

Frequently asked

Yes — a dimmer switch is included in the box. The integrated LED is fully dimmable, so you can move from full task brightness at the mirror to a lower ambient level without any additional purchases or configuration.

90–260V — compatible with residential electrical systems worldwide. No additional transformer or adaptor is needed for installation in North America, Europe, Australia, or most other regions.

The outer shell is copper in a brass finish, with a perforated pattern along its length. The light diffuser is acrylic, sitting behind the perforations to spread the LED output evenly before it reaches the room.

No — the light source is an integrated LED module. It's built into the fixture for a clean installation with no protruding bulb. Integrated LEDs typically outlast the fixture's useful life under standard residential use.

It's designed for vanity task lighting — even, diffused illumination across a mirror for grooming. The output is front-facing and spread along the bar's full length, so the whole face is lit rather than just the area directly below the fixture.

Yes — the brass finish and perforated copper form suit hallways, dressing rooms, and bedroom vanity setups equally. Any space where a horizontal bar of warm, even wall light is useful is a natural fit.

Three: 45, 57, and 75 cm wide. All three are 20 cm tall and share the same brass finish and cutout pattern. Choose based on your mirror width — the lamp typically looks best when slightly narrower than the mirror it sits above.

Yes — wall mount hardware is included. The canopy plate is 10 cm in diameter. A certified electrician is recommended for the hardwired connection. The dimmer switch is also included and simply replaces the existing wall switch.

One finish: brass. The warm brass tone complements the copper body naturally and pairs well with white, cream, or earthy bathroom palettes. It's consistent across all three sizes.

Yes — the integrated LED is efficient relative to its output. The 75 cm version delivers 1650 lm at 15W — equivalent to an older 100W incandescent at a fraction of the energy draw, with no heat penalty above the mirror.
