Pattern on the wallsound and warmth inside it

The Groenlo panel is a rectangular polyurethane tile with a geometric surface pattern — the shape is design and function in one. Installed on walls or ceilings, the textured surface breaks up sound reflections and adds a layer of thermal insulation. Glue or nail-gun to any standard wall; six colour options. Hides imperfections, improves acoustics, and adds insulation without a structural change.
Why you'll love it
  • Geometric surface pattern doubles as acoustic absorber
  • Adds thermal insulation without structural work
  • Covers wall imperfections under a clean, finished surface
  • Six colour options — matches any interior palette
  • Glue or nail-gun install — no specialist tools required
Details

Three ways to install, depending on your panel — nail gun, peel-and-stick, or glue-on. Pick the one that matches what you ordered.

Before you begin

  • Prep — walls should be clean, dry, and smooth; remove dust, grease, nails, and flaky paint
  • Layout — measure and mark your starting line with a level and pencil, and lay out panels on the floor first to visualize placement

What you'll need

  • Tape measure, level, pencil or chalk line
  • Utility knife or fine-tooth saw, clean cloth
  • Caulk gun (if using adhesive), rubber roller (for peel-and-stick), brad nail gun (for nail gun install)

Step by step

  1. Nail gun — for thicker or heavier panels like wood/MDF. Locate wall studs with a stud finder and mark them.
  2. Nail gun — start at the bottom corner and align your first panel to your guidelines.
  3. Nail gun — fasten into studs — nails every 12–16".
  4. Nail gun — fit remaining panels tightly together and continue fastening. Fill nail holes with wood filler or color-matched putty. Optionally, add caulk between panels for seamless joints. Leave a 1/8" gap at edges for expansion.
  5. Peel-and-stick — for lightweight panels with pre-applied adhesive. Wipe the wall clean of dust and grease and let it dry fully. Measure and draw a level starting line.
  6. Peel-and-stick — peel and place — remove the adhesive backing from the first panel, align carefully, and press onto the wall starting at one edge.
  7. Peel-and-stick — roll it flat — use a rubber roller to apply even pressure, then continue placing panels tightly against each other. Avoid repositioning — the adhesive is strongest on first contact.
  8. Glue-on — for panels without adhesive, like solid PVC, composite, or acoustic. Clean the wall surface thoroughly.
  9. Glue-on — apply adhesive in an "S" or zig-zag pattern on the back of the panel.
  10. Glue-on — press into place — align to your guide marks and press firmly against the wall. Use painter's tape to hold it if needed.
  11. Glue-on — repeat and finish — continue with remaining panels, keeping spacing even and level. Wipe away any adhesive squeeze-out with a damp cloth. Let adhesive cure 24–48 hours before applying pressure or weight.

The structure

Relief surfaceeach peak and trough traps sound

The Groenlo's geometric relief is not merely decorative. Each raised element on the panel surface creates a micro-cavity that catches and absorbs sound rather than reflecting it back into the room. The polyurethane material is also a natural insulator — panels installed across a wall reduce both echo and heat loss through the surface. The result is a room that feels quieter, warmer, and more considered.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Why the Groenlo works on every level — visual, acoustic, and thermal.
Acoustic control

Geometric relief interrupts flat surfaces that cause echo — measurable reverberation reduction.

Thermal layer

Polyurethane adds insulation — rooms feel warmer with panels installed on external walls.

Six colours

Suits any interior palette — match to the room or use as an accent wall in a contrasting tone.

Frequently asked

High-density polyurethane — a lightweight, durable material that combines a paintable exterior surface with natural acoustic-absorption and thermal-insulation properties. No wood, plaster, or MDF is used.

No — panels mount directly to any standard wall or ceiling with construction adhesive or a nail gun. No specialist skills are required. Ensure the wall surface is clean and dry before applying adhesive.

Six colours, specified when ordering. Contact us for the full colour card — options span neutrals and deeper tones to suit both accent walls and full-room coverage.

The geometric relief surface breaks up the parallel flat planes that cause sound to reflect and echo. More surface coverage equals greater reverberation reduction — a full accent wall delivers a noticeably quieter room.

Yes — the Groenlo suits living rooms, bedrooms, offices, meeting rooms, and hospitality interiors. The acoustic benefit scales with coverage, making it effective in commercial environments where echo is a persistent issue.

Rectangular panels — contact us for exact dimensions when ordering, as the Groenlo is available in a standard format. Calculate the wall area and we'll advise on the quantity needed for full coverage.

Polyurethane is a durable, long-life material — products that don't need replacing frequently have a lower environmental footprint than alternatives that degrade or fade quickly. Contact us if specific environmental certifications are required for a project.

Dust with a dry soft brush or cloth. Surface marks can be removed with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid saturating the surface and do not use abrasive cleaners that might damage the raised pattern or the finish.

Yes — 1-year Nava warranty against manufacturing defects, extendable to 2, 3, or 5 years. The 14-day return window applies from delivery for uninstalled panels in original condition.

Polyurethane panels can be painted with a suitable water-based or latex paint if a colour not in the standard range is needed. Test on a single panel first — painting will void the manufacturing warranty on the finish.
