The Object

Warm gas lightdrawn as a line

The Gargoyle Pendant Light is a glass neon tube on a brass-finished frame — 120 or 140 cm of warm light that runs clean across the length of a table. The glass contains a blend of gas and rare minerals that produces a warm, distinctive glow — softer and more layered than a standard LED tube. The brass accents anchor it as a deliberate material choice, not an afterthought. Adjustable chain to 1.2 m; 50,000-hour LED life.
Why you'll love it
  • Gas-blend glass tube — warm, layered light distinct from standard LED
  • Brass-finish frame — deliberate material complement to the glass
  • Two lengths: 120 cm and 140 cm — over a table or island
  • Adjustable chain to 1.2 m — set the drop precisely
  • 50,000-hour integrated LED, temperature and fade resistant
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

On the light

Gas and mineralsthe glow is different here

The Gargoyle's glass tube contains a blend of gas and rare minerals that emits light with a warmth and depth standard LEDs don't replicate. It reads old-school in the best sense — the warmth of a neon bar without the commercial associations. The brass frame and non-toxic paint finish resist temperature change and fading, keeping the piece looking right over years of use.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Three details that distinguish this pendant.
Gas-blend glow

Mineral-gas mixture in the glass tube produces a warmer, richer light than standard LED.

Brass frame

Warm metal finish chosen to match the glass tube's amber tone.

Frequently asked

The Gargoyle ships free, worldwide. Delivery typically takes 15–21 business days from dispatch. Tracking is provided as soon as your order leaves the warehouse.

It hangs from a standard ceiling junction box on the adjustable chain. Included hardware covers the canopy and fixings. A certified electrician is recommended for the hardwired mains connection.

A glass tube containing a gas-and-mineral light blend, set in a metal frame with a brass finish. The paint is non-toxic and temperature-resistant — it won't yellow or crack with heat from the tube.

No — the Gargoyle emits a fixed warm tone from the gas-blend glass tube. The warmth is characteristic of the material and cannot be changed post-installation.

The finish is temperature-resistant and fade-resistant, formulated to hold its tone under the warmth generated by the glass tube. Normal indoor exposure won't cause discolouration or peeling.

Yes — despite the gas-blend glass producing a warm, distinctive glow, the underlying light source is LED-based with 50,000-hour rated life. Running costs are lower than comparable traditional neon or fluorescent equivalents.

50,000 hours — at 8 hours a day, over 17 years. The integrated source is not user-replaceable; at this lifespan, practical replacement is not a concern within a normal ownership period.

Standard flat ceilings are supported with the included hardware. Sloped-ceiling compatibility is available on request — contact us before ordering to confirm the bracket options for your ceiling pitch.

Yes — the Gargoyle suits dining rooms, kitchens, living rooms, and open commercial spaces like cafés or studios. The linear form works best over a table or counter of similar length.

Yes — 1-year standard warranty on all parts and finish, extendable to 2 or 3 years on request. Contact us at or after purchase to arrange extended coverage.
