Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

The Folda integrates remote dimming and colour temperature adjustment into a single control — one device changes the warmth and the output level simultaneously. The colour temperature range from 3000K to 6000K covers warm candlelit evenings through to bright task-level illumination for cooking or reading. Optional app control allows the same adjustments from a phone.

The Folda Chandelier is built from iron for the frame and mounting hardware, with glass shades at each head position. The matte black iron finish reads as clean and architectural; the glass shades diffuse the integrated LED output.

How energy efficient is it?

The Folda runs at 40–56W for 4400–6160 lm depending on size — highly efficient for a multi-head dining chandelier. Integrated LEDs eliminate standby losses and run cooler than equivalent halogen or incandescent fittings.

Is it compatible with smart home systems?

What is the return policy?

The Folda Chandelier is covered by Nava Decor's 14-day return policy. If you change your mind or the product arrives with a defect, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we'll arrange a resolution.

The Folda comes with a 1-year warranty as standard, extendable to 2 or 3 years. Contact the Nava Decor team at the time of purchase to add extended coverage.

Can it be installed on sloped ceilings?

Sloped-ceiling installation is available on request — contact us before ordering and we'll advise on the configuration needed for your ceiling angle.

How do I clean and maintain it?

Dust the iron frame with a soft dry cloth. Clean the glass shades when the lamp is off and cool using a soft damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners on the matte black iron finish as they can mark the coating.

Does it come with installation instructions?

Yes — the Folda includes full installation instructions in the box. The linear format installs to a standard ceiling junction box with the included canopy and hardware. Professional installation is recommended.

How does the dimming feature work?

The remote included with the Folda controls both dimming and colour temperature — adjust the slider for brightness and a separate button cycles through warm, neutral, and cool white from 3000K to 6000K. No wall dimmer required.

Is professional installation recommended?

Yes — the Folda requires hardwired connection to a ceiling junction box. Professional installation by a certified electrician is recommended, particularly for the longer 7-head version which spans 150 cm across the ceiling.
