The Object

Glowframed by a single arch

Espot sets a smooth opal glass globe inside a slender arched frame, the metal outline holding the sphere without crowding it. Light passes through the opal glass evenly, softening into a warm wash rather than a bright point. The arch itself does the structural work, leaving the globe to read as the quiet focal point.
Why you'll love it
  • Opal glass globe diffuses light into a soft, even glow
  • Slender arched frame adds a sculptural, architectural line
  • Metal construction holds its shape and finish over time
  • Compact scale suits islands, nooks, and smaller tables
  • Dimmable on request, sloped-ceiling compatible on request
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

On the glass

Opalsoft enough to look straight at

Clear glass shows the bulb; opal glass hides it. Espot uses the latter, so the globe glows as a uniform sphere of light rather than a visible filament behind glass. The arched frame keeps a clean sightline around it, letting the glow do the visual work.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
What gives Espot its quiet, balanced glow.
Opal diffusion

The glass softens the bulb into an even glow across the whole globe.

Arched frame

A slender metal arch holds the globe with a light, architectural line.

Adjustable drop

Cord runs up to 90cm, giving flexibility for different ceiling heights.

Frequently asked

A soft, warm glow diffused through an opal glass globe, giving even ambient light rather than a sharp, directional beam.

A metal arched frame in gold or black finish, paired with a smooth opal glass globe that houses the light source.

Yes, the opal glass spreads the bulb's output evenly across the sphere, so the whole globe glows rather than showing a visible bright point.

Yes, a single E27 LED bulb ships with the fixture, so it's ready to hang and light without a separate purchase.

A standard E27 base LED bulb, replaceable when needed without any special tools or fixture disassembly.

Above dining tables, kitchen islands, or breakfast nooks — its compact scale also suits smaller living spaces where a single accent light works well.

A wide 90-260V range, compatible with standard household wiring across most regions without needing a voltage adaptor.

It runs on a single 15W LED bulb producing roughly 1500 lumens, an efficient output for a focused single-point pendant.

Yes — the E27 base bulb can be unscrewed and swapped directly, no need to remove the glass globe or frame.

The arched metal frame gives it a distinct silhouette compared to a straight-drop pendant, letting the globe sit slightly offset for a more sculptural hang.
