No — the Eidi is solar-powered and requires no electrical connection. Mount it to any outdoor wall with the included hardware; a drill and wall plugs are all you need. Most people complete the install in under 20 minutes.
The integrated LEDs are rated for tens of thousands of hours of operation — far beyond the typical lifespan of a replaceable bulb. Under normal outdoor use they should outlast the fixture itself.
The 45-degree tilted panel is positioned to intercept maximum sunlight across more hours of the day than a flat-mounted panel. In good sun conditions, a full day's charge provides several hours of light after dark.
Minimal — wipe the solar panel surface occasionally with a damp cloth to keep it free of dust or debris that might reduce charging efficiency. The fixture itself is weather-sealed and needs no other regular upkeep.
The lamp heads are fixed in their dual-direction configuration (up and down). The solar panel angle is set at 45 degrees and is not field-adjustable. Position the fixture on a wall that gets good sun exposure through the day.

The body is moulded plastic with acrylic lens covers for the LED heads, finished in matte black. The material choice keeps the fixture lightweight for easy wall mounting while remaining durable in outdoor conditions.
The dual-direction light creates a layered effect on the wall surface — washing both upward into eaves or overhangs and downward along the façade. At night this produces a more textured, considered result than a single-direction spotlight.
