The Object

High arctraditional form, daily ease

The Domburg Kitchen Faucet stands tall on solid brass — the high-arc spout gives clearance for large pots and makes produce washing easy without awkward angles. The matte-black finish resists fingerprints and watermarks better than polished alternatives, and the traditional detailing along the spout gives it the depth of an older piece without being period-specific. Certified NSF/ANSI 61 and WaterSense at 1.9 GPM.
Why you'll love it
  • Solid brass construction — resists corrosion and lasts for decades
  • Matte-black finish — fingerprint and watermark resistant
  • High-arc spout gives clearance for large pots and easy washing
  • Certified NSF/ANSI 61 & WaterSense at 1.9 GPM for clean, efficient flow
  • BSP and NPT thread compatibility for most global plumbing systems
Details

Water off first, then it's supply lines and sealant — wall-mounted and counter-mounted faucets install a little differently, so follow the steps for your type.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — wall-mounted or counter-mounted; check your product's description first
  • Thread compatibility — G1/2 BSP is standard outside North America; NPT-compatible options are available for U.S. and Canadian plumbing (an adapter may be required)

What you'll need

  • Adjustable wrench, pipe tape (Teflon), basin wrench
  • Plumber's putty or silicone sealant, bucket or towel
  • Drill and anchors (for wall-mounted units)

Step by step

  1. Wall-mounted — turn off the water supply — shut off hot and cold valves and open nearby faucets to release pressure.
  2. Wall-mounted — prepare the water lines — confirm wall outlets for hot and cold water align with your faucet's inlets, and make any plumbing adjustments before mounting.
  3. Wall-mounted — install mounting hardware — mark and drill holes, then mount the support plate with the provided anchors or screws.
  4. Wall-mounted — connect supply lines — wrap threaded connections with plumber's tape and attach hot and cold lines securely to the valve inlets.
  5. Wall-mounted — mount the faucet body — secure the spout and handles onto the mounted base, tightening with a wrench without overtightening.
  6. Wall-mounted — seal and finish — apply silicone sealant around the base fittings and let it cure as recommended.
  7. Wall-mounted — turn on the water and test — check for leaks and test the temperature control.
  8. Counter-mounted — turn off the water supply — shut off both valves under the sink and drain any remaining water from the faucet.
  9. Counter-mounted — position the faucet and handles — insert through the pre-drilled holes on the countertop or sink deck.
  10. Counter-mounted — secure from beneath — use mounting nuts and washers from below the sink.
  11. Counter-mounted — connect the water supply lines — use plumber's tape on all threaded joints and attach hot and cold lines with flexible connectors.
  12. Counter-mounted — seal the base — apply plumber's putty or silicone around the faucet base if required.
  13. Counter-mounted — turn on the water and inspect — check for steady flow, correct temperature, and tight seals.

Good to know

  • Always verify thread compatibility (BSP vs. NPT) and use an adapter where needed.
  • If you're unsure about your plumbing system, consult a licensed plumber.
  • Clean aerators periodically for the best water flow.
  • For outdoor wall applications, make sure you have frost protection in colder climates.

The making

Brass beneathmatte black at the surface

The Domburg is machined from solid brass, which gives the body its weight and its corrosion resistance. Over the brass sits a matte-black coating applied to resist the marks that polished finishes show after a week of kitchen use — water spots, fingerprints, soap residue. The traditional spout detailing is part of the casting, not applied decoration, so it won't fade or wear through with normal use.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Built to last

Solid brass resists corrosion and holds its form through decades of daily kitchen use.

Easy to keep clean

Matte black doesn't show water spots or fingerprints the way polished chrome or nickel does.

Works anywhere

BSP and NPT thread options cover most residential plumbing systems outside and inside North America.

Frequently asked

Solid brass throughout — body, spout, and internal valve housing. Brass is the standard material for high-quality kitchen faucets because it resists corrosion, holds thread integrity over decades, and is safe for drinking-water contact.

Matte black — applied over the solid brass body. Matte finishes are significantly more forgiving than polished ones in kitchen environments: they resist fingerprints, water spotting, and soap residue marks in daily use.

The Domburg pairs a high-arc spout — useful and practical — with traditional surface detailing that gives it the character of an older piece. It doesn't look like a contemporary minimalist tap, and it doesn't look dated either. That balance is deliberate.

1.9 GPM at standard pressure — certified WaterSense, which means it meets EPA efficiency guidelines without restricting the flow feel. For most kitchen tasks, 1.9 GPM is completely comfortable.

Clearance — at 31 cm tall, the Domburg gives you room to fill large stockpots, rinse tall produce, and work around items without the spout being in the way. It makes the sink more functional without changing the plumbing.

13–75 Psi — it works at low residential pressure (common in older buildings) and handles high pressure systems without issue. Optimal performance is around 44 Psi, which is standard for most residential supply lines.

Yes — the high-arc silhouette is familiar enough not to clash with a traditional kitchen, and the matte-black finish and clean lines read well in contemporary settings. It's a deliberately in-between piece that doesn't force a style choice.

Very easy — a wipe with a damp cloth is all it takes for routine maintenance. Avoid abrasive scrubbers or acidic cleaners, which can dull the coating over time. Water spots that appear will wipe away without leaving a mark.

Yes — the single-handle control gives smooth adjustment from off to full flow and from cold to hot. The ceramic cartridge inside the valve ensures consistent, drip-free operation without stiffening over time.

Yes — solid brass and a ceramic cartridge are the standard specification for long-lasting kitchen faucets for a reason. The Domburg is backed by a one-year warranty, extendable to two or three years, and designed for daily use over many years.
