The Diemel was designed to be noticed unlit as much as lit. The terrazzo cylinder carries its own quiet pattern of minerals — no two identical — while the chrome stem holds it cleanly in the air. When the light comes on, a soft pool forms below and the stone catches the glow from within, making the whole fixture feel alive rather than merely on.
