The Dentil ceiling-mounts to a standard junction box using the included canopy and hardware. It can also be wall-mounted with the included brackets. Either way, the physical mounting is straightforward — the electrical connection should be made by a certified electrician.
Yes — the bamboo disc and glass diffuser are both stable under extended exposure to heat from the LED. The bamboo won't warp or discolour under normal operating temperatures, and the glass finish is permanent.
Yes — the blown-glass hemisphere diffuses the LED entirely. There's no visible source from below or the sides, just a soft, even glow that's comfortable to have at eye level in a living room or bedroom.
Yes — the suspension cord adjusts up to 1.2 m, so you can hang the Dentil lower over a reading chair or dining table or higher in an open-plan space. Adjustment is done at the canopy after mounting.
The integrated LED is rated for 50,000 hours — at eight hours a day, that's over 17 years. There are no replaceable bulbs; the LED is built in and sealed within the glass diffuser.

Yes — the Dentil comes with hardware for both configurations. Ceiling-mount puts it in pendant mode; wall-mount angles it as a sconce. The off-centre design reads well from both orientations.
The Dentil hardwires to a standard ceiling junction box — it doesn't plug into a wall socket. A compatible electrical box is needed at the ceiling or wall mount point, and a certified electrician should make the final connection.
