Installation Guide

A standard outlet swap — power off, match the wires, new brass outlet in. GFCI and USB-C models just have a couple of extra terminals to watch for.

What's included

Brass plate, your selected outlet type (Standard, USB-C, or GFCI), and mounting accessories.

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, wire stripper

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — at your circuit breaker or fuse box.
  2. Remove the old cover plate — unscrew it and set it aside.
  3. Take out the old outlet — unscrew it from the electrical box and gently pull it out.
  4. Disconnect the wires — loosen the screws, or if back-inserted, cut and strip the ends.
  5. Connect the wires to the new outlet — wrap around screws or insert into terminals, following the Line, Neutral, and Ground markings (especially for GFCI and USB-C outlets).
  6. Secure the new outlet — tuck the wires back into the electrical box and fasten with the provided screws.
  7. Attach the new cover plate — place the brass plate over the outlet and screw it in.
  8. Turn the power back on — at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
  9. Test it — plug in a device to confirm power. For USB-C, test with a compatible charger. For GFCI, press the Test and Reset buttons to confirm it's working.

Solid brass — over a modern function

The plate is solid brass, weighted and finished to sit flush against the wall. Behind it is a USB-C charging point, so a modern habit gets a quiet, considered home. It comes in brass or black to match the rest of your hardware, with the mounting accessories you need to fit it.

Innovative engineering. Intelligent design.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose a USB-C outlet instead of a normal outlet?

Some spots in a home are charging stations whether you planned them that way or not. A USB-C outlet makes those places cleaner and easier to use, cutting down on adapters and loose charging bricks.

Where does a USB-C outlet make the biggest difference?

Bedsides, desks, kitchen counters, built-ins, and media spaces benefit most. Those are where cables multiply and chargers start taking over the wall — a built-in USB-C point keeps them tidy.

Is this mainly for phones, or other devices too?

Phones first, but also tablets, earbuds, smaller accessories, and some lighter laptops, depending on their charging needs. The exact speed depends on the device and its power delivery — it's helpful, not universal.

Can I get rid of all my charging adapters?

Not all of them. It cuts the need in the right places, but some devices still want their original charger for full speed or wattage. Think of it as reducing clutter, not replacing every brick.

What does "custom module" mean here?

It means the charging insert is chosen as part of a custom wall-hardware setup rather than a standalone off-the-shelf unit. The point isn't only charging — it's charging without disrupting the look of the room.

Is this more useful in modern homes than older ones?

Not really — the usefulness is universal. If anything, it helps in older homes being updated to work better, so you're not covering every outlet with adapters.

Should I put this everywhere or only in certain spots?

Usually only where charging happens constantly — bedrooms, home offices, kitchen edges, and guest areas. There's little point in built-in convenience where it won't get used.

Does this need planning before installation?

Yes. Like any custom-module piece, it works best when compatibility, use case, and location are thought through in advance. It's a smarter product when it's placed intentionally.

Does it help a room feel less messy?

Yes — that's one of its strongest points. Charging clutter adds up faster than people expect, and a built-in USB-C outlet lets the wall do more of the work cleanly.

How is it installed?

It replaces an existing outlet and plate, with the mounting hardware included. As it involves wiring, we recommend a licensed electrician fit it for a safe, correct connection.
