The Object

Lit from withinnot from a bulb

The Cerqueux holds alabaster panels in a brass, black, or steel ring, so the light source disappears into the stone. What reaches the room is warm and layered — the veins and formations in each slab casting their own quiet pattern. No two panels cut from the same block are alike. Four sizes, from a 48 cm accent to a 147 cm statement piece.
Why you'll love it
  • Translucent alabaster panels glow with warm, diffused light
  • Natural veining — every chandelier carries unique stone patterning
  • Four sizes, 48 cm to 147 cm — dining room to entrance hall
  • Three finishes: burnished brass, matte black, polished steel
  • Replaceable E12 LEDs, dimmable on request, sloped ceiling compatible
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

On the stone

Calcite formationsevery panel reads differently

Alabaster is a fine-grained stone prized for the way it carries light within rather than off its surface. Each panel in the Cerqueux is cut from a natural slab — the calcite formations and veining unique to that piece. Lit, those internal structures become visible, giving the chandelier a depth that no two installations share.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Why the Cerqueux reads differently from every other chandelier in the room.
Stone glow

Light passes through the alabaster — soft and warm, the stone as diffuser rather than reflector.

Four scales

48, 78, 107, or 147 cm diameter — sized for the table, the room, or the entrance hall.

Natural variation

Each slab is cut individually — veining and calcite patterns are unique to every fixture.

Frequently asked

The Cerqueux installs to a standard ceiling junction box with a hardwired connection. The canopy is 15 or 20 cm diameter depending on size. Professional installation by a certified electrician is recommended given the fixture's weight.

Wipe with a dry or very slightly damp cloth. Avoid water pooling on the stone surface and never use abrasive cleaners — alabaster is a relatively soft mineral and will scratch if treated roughly.

Yes — the frame is metal throughout, finished in brass, black, or steel. The mounts are engineered for the weight of the stone panels and are standard-tested across UL, CE, and several other certifications.

Alabaster is naturally translucent — a thin-cut panel allows light to pass through the stone and scatter around its internal calcite formations, producing a warm, diffused glow rather than a direct beam.

The Cerqueux's natural stone and restrained ring form work comfortably in both traditional and contemporary interiors. The brass finish in particular reads well in classical settings.

Yes — the 48 and 78 cm sizes are well-suited to dining tables, providing warm ambient light without glare. The larger 107 and 147 cm versions suit open-plan dining and entertaining spaces.

Nava Decor offers a 14-day return window from delivery. The fixture must be in original, uninstalled condition. Contact our team to arrange a return — we'll guide you through the process.

It takes E12 LED bulbs, included with the fixture. Replacements are widely available. Dimmable-compatible bulbs can be requested when ordering if you plan to use a dimmer switch.

Yes — especially for the larger sizes, which weigh between 61 and 97 kg. A certified electrician should handle the hardwired connection and confirm the ceiling's load capacity before mounting.

The Cerqueux comes with a 1-year Nava warranty, extendable to 2, 3, or 5 years. Coverage includes manufacturing defects in the frame and light mechanism — not damage from handling or improper installation.
