The shade is constructed from a tightly woven fabric in white. The suspension hardware, canopy, and cord are metal and polymer — light enough to keep the overall hanging weight minimal and manageable.
The Castellar mounts to a standard ceiling junction box. Thread the cord to the required drop length, mount the canopy, connect the hardwired supply, and drop in the E27 bulb. Professional installation by a certified electrician is recommended for the wiring.
The simple fabric shade is a neutral form that sits comfortably in period rooms alongside ornate moulding or cornicing. For listed buildings, confirm that any necessary drilling and hardwiring meets local conservation requirements.
