The Object

Angled at every edgefunction made visible

The Cadzand is cut from solid brass and finished in matte black, so the rectangular spout and lever carry weight without glare. The slender single lever runs temperature and flow in one movement; the high-arching spout clears the basin with room to spare. Corrosion-resistant, 2 GPM, and built to G1/2 BSP threading — compatible with most systems outside North America, with NPT available.
Why you'll love it
  • Solid brass construction — corrosion-resistant, built to last
  • Matte black finish resists fingerprints and tarnishing
  • High-arching rectangular spout — 2 GPM, splash-free clearance
  • Single slender lever controls temperature and flow precisely
  • G1/2 BSP standard · NPT (North American) available on request
Details

Water off first, then it's supply lines and sealant — wall-mounted and counter-mounted faucets install a little differently, so follow the steps for your type.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — wall-mounted or counter-mounted; check your product's description first
  • Thread compatibility — G1/2 BSP is standard outside North America; NPT-compatible options are available for U.S. and Canadian plumbing (an adapter may be required)

What you'll need

  • Adjustable wrench, pipe tape (Teflon), basin wrench
  • Plumber's putty or silicone sealant, bucket or towel
  • Drill and anchors (for wall-mounted units)

Step by step

  1. Wall-mounted — turn off the water supply — shut off hot and cold valves and open nearby faucets to release pressure.
  2. Wall-mounted — prepare the water lines — confirm wall outlets for hot and cold water align with your faucet's inlets, and make any plumbing adjustments before mounting.
  3. Wall-mounted — install mounting hardware — mark and drill holes, then mount the support plate with the provided anchors or screws.
  4. Wall-mounted — connect supply lines — wrap threaded connections with plumber's tape and attach hot and cold lines securely to the valve inlets.
  5. Wall-mounted — mount the faucet body — secure the spout and handles onto the mounted base, tightening with a wrench without overtightening.
  6. Wall-mounted — seal and finish — apply silicone sealant around the base fittings and let it cure as recommended.
  7. Wall-mounted — turn on the water and test — check for leaks and test the temperature control.
  8. Counter-mounted — turn off the water supply — shut off both valves under the sink and drain any remaining water from the faucet.
  9. Counter-mounted — position the faucet and handles — insert through the pre-drilled holes on the countertop or sink deck.
  10. Counter-mounted — secure from beneath — use mounting nuts and washers from below the sink.
  11. Counter-mounted — connect the water supply lines — use plumber's tape on all threaded joints and attach hot and cold lines with flexible connectors.
  12. Counter-mounted — seal the base — apply plumber's putty or silicone around the faucet base if required.
  13. Counter-mounted — turn on the water and inspect — check for steady flow, correct temperature, and tight seals.

Good to know

  • Always verify thread compatibility (BSP vs. NPT) and use an adapter where needed.
  • If you're unsure about your plumbing system, consult a licensed plumber.
  • Clean aerators periodically for the best water flow.
  • For outdoor wall applications, make sure you have frost protection in colder climates.

On the build

Brass under the finishweight you can feel

Brass is the standard for quality faucet bodies because it doesn't corrode from the inside out the way lower-grade alloys do. The Cadzand's body is fully brass, with the matte black applied as a final coat over a corrosion-resistant base layer. The lever arm is the same material — solid, not hollow — so it moves with a deliberate feel rather than a light flick.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
What makes the Cadzand built for the long run.
Angular Form

Clean, rectangular lines on spout and lever — a defined silhouette that holds up against tile and stone backgrounds.

Precise Control

Single-lever operation moves smoothly through the full temperature and pressure range with no sticking or looseness.

Corrosion-Proof

Solid brass construction and a sealed matte finish mean the Cadzand handles daily water exposure without surface degradation.

Frequently asked

The body and lever are solid brass throughout — not brass-coated zinc or alloy. Brass is used in quality faucet construction because it resists internal corrosion from mineral-rich water, keeping performance consistent over many years.

The matte black finish is applied over a corrosion-resistant base layer and sealed for everyday water contact. It resists fingerprint marks and surface tarnishing better than polished finishes, and doesn't show water spots as readily.

Water exits through a rectangular spout at 2 GPM — a flow rate that provides comfortable clearance without wasting water. The high arc gives full basin access, which matters when washing hands or filling a container under the tap.

Yes — the matte black surface wipes clean with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, which can break down the finish over time. A weekly wipe is all that's needed to keep it looking clean.

The Cadzand delivers 2 gallons per minute (approximately 7.5 litres), at medium pressure. WaterSense certification confirms it meets EPA standards for efficient flow — enough for comfortable use without excess waste.

A single slender lever — it controls both temperature and pressure in one movement. The lever's angular form matches the spout profile, and the solid brass construction gives it a deliberate, substantial feel when operated.

Minimalist and industrial bathrooms are the strongest fit — matte black against white ceramic, concrete, or dark stone reads particularly well. The angular geometry also pairs naturally with wall-mounted mirrors and rectilinear basin shapes.

The Cadzand operates between 18 PSI (minimum) and 77 PSI (maximum), with 48 PSI being the optimal mid-point for smooth flow and lever response. Most domestic plumbing systems fall within this range.

The Cadzand mounts through a standard single tap hole (43 mm diameter) using the included hardware, with a G1/2 BSP thread connection. We recommend a licensed plumber for installation — the connection takes under an hour for a straightforward basin setup.

Yes — the high-arching rectangular spout extends over the basin with generous clearance, allowing comfortable hand-washing under the full arc. It suits most standard and vessel basin depths without the spout sitting too close to the bowl.
