The Object

Carved at the centreornament that earns its place

The Bramdrup is a small brass knob with a carved floral motif pressed at its face — ringed by a textured border that adds grip around the edges. The raised stem gives the hand a clear place to pull. At 67 g it carries the weight of solid brass in a size that suits fine cabinetry: drawers, wardrobe doors, and display cupboards in vintage, traditional, or luxury-style rooms.
Why you'll love it
  • Carved floral motif — ornamental detail in solid brass
  • Textured border ring — adds grip around the knob face
  • Raised stem — clear, comfortable pull point
  • Solid brass, antique bronze finish — built to last
  • Compact 3.5 cm diameter — proportional for fine cabinetry
Details

Includes the solid-brass plate, toggle mechanism, and mounting hardware. A straightforward swap for an existing switch — power off, match the wires, screw the plate back on.

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power at your breaker or fuse box.
  2. Remove the old cover plate — unscrew it and set it aside.
  3. Take out the old switch — unscrew it from the box and ease it out to reach the wiring.
  4. Disconnect the wires — loosen the screws, or if back-inserted, cut and strip the ends.
  5. Wire the new toggle — live to the brass/black screw, neutral to silver (if your switch uses one), ground to the green screw. Tighten each.
  6. Secure the switch — tuck the wires back, align the toggle, fasten with the included screws.
  7. Fit the brass plate over the switch and screw it in.
  8. Power back on at the panel.
  9. Test — toggle up and down; the light or device should switch cleanly.

On the material

Solid brassthe weight lands in 67 grams

The Bramdrup is machined from a single brass blank — the floral motif is pressed into the face before the bronze finish is applied, so the design sits in the metal itself, not in the coating. Small, weighty, and precise.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Floral carving

Pressed into the brass face — the motif sits in the metal, not on top of it.

Raised stem

The stem extends 3 cm from the face — enough clearance for a comfortable one-finger pull.

Fine cabinetry fit

At 3.5 cm diameter, it's proportional for drawers and wardrobe doors without overpowering the furniture.

Frequently asked

Solid brass, finished in antique bronze. The full body is machined brass — no zinc alloy fill, no plastic backing. The weight you feel is the brass section itself.

Vintage, traditional, and luxury-style spaces — the carved floral motif reads as ornamental rather than industrial. It suits painted cabinetry, dark-stained wood, and lacquered furniture.

Yes — cabinets, kitchen drawers, wardrobe doors, and display cupboards all work. The standard single-screw mounting fits most furniture holes.

The floral face is smooth — the grip texture comes from the border ring that surrounds it. Your fingers naturally land on that textured ring when you pull, giving a secure hold.

Yes — a single mounting screw is included. Insert through the cabinet face from the inside, thread into the knob stem, and tighten. Most installs take under two minutes.

The antique bronze finish is treated to resist tarnishing through daily handling. In humid environments like kitchens and bathrooms, wipe dry after prolonged water contact to extend the finish life.

The carved floral motif is pressed directly into the brass face before finishing — so the design exists in the metal rather than as a painted or applied decoration. It holds its definition through years of use.

Yes — the raised stem gives a clear pull point and the textured border prevents the fingers from slipping off the face. At 3 cm tall the clearance from the surface is comfortable for one-finger operation.

67 g — substantial for its size, which is a sign of the solid brass construction. It closes drawers and doors with a satisfying weight rather than the light click of a hollow fitting.

Yes — the solid brass and treated finish are suited to high-use environments. Hospitality, retail display cabinetry, and fitted wardrobes in rental properties all benefit from hardware that holds up through frequent handling.
