The frame is copper with a gold finish; the centrepiece is clear crystal. Both materials are chosen for how they interact with light — gold warms the surround, crystal diffuses the source into a soft glow.
The gold finish is applied to a copper base, which gives it stability and warmth. It holds its tone well in normal indoor conditions and doesn't require polishing or special maintenance.
We recommend it. The Brace is hardwired to the wall, so a certified electrician should make the connection. Once installed, there's no bulb to replace or routine servicing needed.
Integrated LEDs — built directly into the fitting. They run at 12W and output 1320 lm, rated for 50,000 hours of use. No separate bulb purchase is needed at any point.
They're integrated, so they're not user-replaceable in the conventional sense. With a 50,000-hour rated lifespan, they're designed to outlast the fixture's practical life in most homes.
Very — 12W producing 1320 lm is a strong output-to-wattage ratio for a wall accent. That compares to what a 100W incandescent would produce at a fraction of the running cost.
Wipe the crystal with a soft, dry cloth to maintain its clarity. The gold metal frame can be dusted with a dry or very slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners on either surface.
