Metallic rim—light aimed, not scattered
The metallic rim reflects light downward — clear, even, with minimal upward scatter.
At 11 cm diameter, the dome is compact enough for low ceilings and small rooms.
Integrated LED at 7W (770 lm) — nothing to source or replace.
Solid aluminium throughout — frame, dome, and rim. Aluminium holds a clean matte finish without warping or yellowing, making it a practical choice for kitchens and frequently used spaces.
Primarily direct — the metallic rim reflects the LED downward in a focused cone. It's task-oriented lighting, suited for a counter, table, or reading spot rather than general ambient fill.
Kitchens, dining areas, home offices, and commercial spaces — anywhere a focused, well-directed overhead light is needed. Multiple units spaced over a long island or table also work well.
Yes — the cord adjusts up to 1.2 m, so you can set the dome at the right distance above the surface. Lower for task lighting; higher for general ambient use. Sloped-ceiling compatible hardware is included.
The Borris uses an integrated LED — there's no bulb socket. The LED is built in, rated at 7W (770 lm), and designed to last the lifetime of the fixture without replacement.
The fixture arrives assembled. Installation involves ceiling-mounting to a standard junction box and running the hardwire connection — professional installation by a certified electrician is recommended.
White and black. Both are matte aluminium. White suits lighter, more minimal interiors; black reads graphic and works well in industrial or Scandinavian-influenced spaces.
It works best at moderate heights — the cord extends to 1.2 m, which suits standard residential ceilings. For very high ceilings, a longer drop may be needed; contact us to discuss custom cord lengths.
The Borris is rated for indoor dry or damp locations — it suits kitchens well. It is not rated for outdoor use or direct wet-area installation such as over a shower.
