The Bolsward is built from solid copper with crystal-glass cylinders. The copper frame holds the two rings level, and the glass catches and softens the light as it spreads outward.
Each glass cylinder refracts the light, so single points blend into a continuous, even glow. The twin-ring layout sends that light outward in every direction rather than into one pool below.
