The Object

One curvecaught mid-motion

The Bilge Chandelier sweeps a single ribbon of gold-finished aluminium across the ceiling, the form bending and twisting as if caught mid-motion. Textured acrylic runs the length of the curve, so the glow travels the whole line rather than dropping from points. Hidden LEDs, slim suspension cables — it reads as one drawn gesture of light.
Why you'll love it
  • A continuous ribbon of light — no exposed bulbs
  • Sweeping aluminium form that floats on slim cables
  • Four light modes — warm, neutral, tri-colour, dimmable
  • Four sizes, 100 cm to 200 cm, to span the room
  • Hidden LEDs rated to 50,000 hours
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

On the form

Light that runs the lengthnot from points

The aluminium body is shaped into a single sweeping curve and finished in gold, then paired with a textured acrylic face. The LEDs sit hidden behind it, so the light gathers along the bend and releases as one even ribbon. Nothing glares; the room reads as composed rather than simply brighter.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Light in motion

The glow travels the full curve, spreading evenly across counters and tables without sharp hotspots.

Floats overhead

Aluminium keeps the sweeping form light, so it hangs from slim cables with presence but no weight.

Set the mood

Four modes — warm, neutral, tri-colour, and remote dimming — shift the room from cosy to crisp.

Design statement

Lightdrawn in a single line

The Bilge turns light into a gesture — a glowing form that bends and sweeps across the ceiling like a ribbon caught mid-motion. By day it reads as quiet sculpture; lit, the whole curve gathers the glow and releases it as one continuous line that follows the bend.

Frequently asked

Yes. The Bilge sits easily in both modern and traditional rooms — its flowing, sculptural line reads as a contemporary note without clashing with classic surroundings.

The Bilge is built from aluminium with a polished gold finish, and the undulating form is textured acrylic. The aluminium keeps the sweeping shape light while holding its line over years of use.

The integrated LEDs draw low power for the light they give, with four modes — warm, neutral, tri-colour, and remote dimming. Rated to 50,000 hours, they run efficiently day to day.

The integrated LEDs are rated to around 50,000 hours — years of regular use. Because they're built in, there are no bulbs to buy or replace along the way.

Four modes: warm for a cosy glow, neutral for everyday light, tri-colour to shift the tone, and remote-controlled dimming to set any level from bright to low.

All the mounting hardware is included, and it hangs from a standard ceiling junction box. It's a hardwired connection, so for a safe, level fit we recommend a licensed electrician.

Yes — it ships with the ceiling plate, brackets, and components needed to hang it. The cord is adjustable up to 1.5 m so you can set the drop to suit the room.

It's designed primarily as a ceiling fixture, mounted to a standard junction box. The driver is built for in-ceiling installation, so a flat or sloped ceiling is the right home for it.

Once it's wired in, use the included remote to switch between warm, neutral, tri-colour, and dimming modes — so you can set the right light from across the room, no app needed.

Yes. The aluminium body and finish are built to resist heat and fading, so the gold tone and sweeping form hold their look over years of regular use.
