Glow held behind glassnever harsh

The Benouville pairs a dark copper frame — finished in black or warm brass — with a frosted glass cover that completely hides the source. Light passes through the frosting and arrives in the room as a soft, even wash: warm but never harsh, present but never demanding. Two sizes to suit the room; integrated LED, nothing to replace.
Why you'll love it
  • Frosted glass cover — soft, even glow with zero glare
  • Copper frame in black or brass finish
  • Integrated LED — built in, nothing to replace
  • Two sizes: 39 cm and 47 cm diameter
  • Dimmable on request · 90–260V
Details

A close-to-ceiling install for low-clearance rooms — power off, mount the bracket, match the wires, done.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — direct to a standard ceiling junction box; sits close against the ceiling
  • Dimming — most socketed models dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Ceilings — flat ceilings only; for vaulted or sloped ceilings, look at semi-flush or pendant options instead
  • Power — hardwired to your home's electrical system

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — shut it off at the breaker panel and confirm with a voltage tester.
  2. Remove the fixture cover — twist or unclip the outer shade or base cover to expose the mounting plate and wiring.
  3. Install the mounting bracket — attach it to the ceiling junction box with the supplied screws, secure and level.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the junction box.
  5. Attach the fixture base — lift into place, align with the bracket, and secure with the provided screws so it sits flush against the ceiling.
  6. Reattach the cover — twist, clip, or fasten the decorative cover or diffuser back on.
  7. Restore power and test.

Good to know

  • Great for standard or low ceilings — hallways, bedrooms, closets.
  • Confirm your junction box can support the fixture's weight.
  • Follow local electrical codes.
  • When in doubt, bring in a licensed electrician.

How it's made

Frosted by designthe source stays hidden

The glass cover isn't decorative frosting — it's the whole point. The surface scatters every photon before it reaches the room, turning a single integrated LED into a wide, even plane of light. The copper frame holds it in place with just enough presence to anchor the ceiling.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
The Benouville's three strengths, plainly stated.
Frosted cover

The glass face diffuses the LED completely — soft, even ambient light with no glare or hot spots.

Two finishes

Choose black for a graphic, contemporary look or brass for a warmer, more traditional tone.

Two sizes

39 cm works in bedrooms and hallways; 47 cm suits living rooms and open-plan dining areas.

Frequently asked

Copper and glass. The frame is copper, finished in black or warm brass; the cover is frosted glass that diffuses the integrated LED into a soft, even glow across the room.

Yes — an integrated LED is built in and included. No separate bulb purchase is needed. It runs efficiently and lasts well beyond a standard replaceable bulb's lifespan.

24W (2640 lm) for the 39 cm version and 36W (3960 lm) for the 47 cm version. Both deliver comfortable, warm ambient output suited to living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas.

Yes — it's suited to bedrooms, living areas, dining rooms, and hallways. It's hardwired, so a standard ceiling junction box is required. Professional installation is recommended.

Soft, even ambient light with no visible source and no glare. The frosted surface scatters the LED output across the full disc, so the room fills evenly without a bright centre spot.

Yes — integrated LEDs draw a fraction of the power of equivalent incandescent or halogen fittings, and they run cool, which extends the life of both the LED and the fixture itself.

90–260V, covering standard mains in most countries — UK, EU, North America, Australia. No adaptor needed; your local electrician can connect it directly.

Yes — the clean circular form and frosted glass face read naturally in contemporary and Scandi-modern spaces. The brass finish also works well in transitional and classic interiors.

Integrated LEDs in this range are rated for 50,000+ hours under normal use — that's well over a decade of daily use without needing a replacement.

Yes — the fixture is hardwired to mains. We recommend installation by a certified electrician to ensure safe wiring and a secure ceiling mount.
