Grip grooved into brasstimeless by design

The Bellinge is a cylindrical brass bar with grooves cut along its length — the detailing is decorative but the grip it gives is real. Pull it and the ridges seat naturally under the fingers. Five lengths from 12.3 to 25.1 cm cover most cabinet and drawer widths; hole spacing scales with each length. Gold finish, solid brass, built to outlast the furniture it's fitted to.
Why you'll love it
  • Grooved cylindrical brass — decorative detailing with genuine grip
  • Five lengths: 12.3 to 25.1 cm — fits most cabinet widths
  • Solid brass in a gold finish — built to last
  • Ergonomic pull geometry — comfortable for daily use
  • Easy installation — included hardware, standard hole spacing
Details

No wiring here — just careful measuring, drilling, and mounting. Mortice locks take a bit more patience than a simple knob.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — surface installation on doors, drawers, or cabinetry; check your product's dimensions for placement and drilling points

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver (Phillips and flathead), drill and drill bits, Allen key
  • Tape measure, pencil, level
  • Chisel (for mortice lock installation)
  • Screws and anchors, safety goggles

Step by step

  1. Cabinet hardware — mark drilling points — use a tape measure and pencil; a template helps for uniformity across multiple pieces.
  2. Cabinet hardware — drill holes — use a bit matched to the screw diameter, keeping the drill straight.
  3. Cabinet hardware — mount — insert screws from inside the cabinet or drawer, secure the hardware on the front face, and tighten without overtightening.
  4. Cabinet hardware — align and inspect — confirm straightness and spacing before fully securing.
  5. Thumb lock or dummy handle — confirm orientation — determine left- or right-hand door swing and adjust as needed.
  6. Thumb lock or dummy handle — mark installation height — typically 36–38 inches from the floor to the handle center; align the mounting plate.
  7. Thumb lock or dummy handle — drill and attach — drill pilot holes and secure the backplate and handle with the included screws. Dummy handles install directly, no latch mechanism.
  8. Thumb lock only — install the strike plate — mark the latch location on the door frame, chisel a recess if needed, and screw the strike plate in.
  9. Mortice lock — cut the mortice pocket — use a chisel and drill to create a cavity in the door edge, following the provided measurements.
  10. Mortice lock — insert the lock body — fit it into the cavity and attach through the faceplate with screws.
  11. Mortice lock — install the handle — align the spindle through the lock, attach handles on both sides, and tighten with a screwdriver or Allen key.
  12. Mortice lock — install the cylinder (if applicable) — insert the key cylinder and secure with the cylinder screw from the door edge.
  13. Mortice lock — mount the strike plate — align with the latch mechanism and secure to the door frame.

Good to know

  • Double-check measurements before drilling.
  • Use a level for consistent alignment across multiple units.
  • If you're unfamiliar with mortice installation, consult a locksmith or professional.
  • Make sure all moving parts operate smoothly before final tightening.
  • Dummy handles are decorative or pull-only — they don't engage latches or locks.

How it's made

Grooves cut intexture that earns its keep

The grooves aren't surface decoration — they're cut into the brass cylinder, so the ridges are as solid as the bar itself. They give the pull traction under the fingers and break up the brass surface so it catches light at varying angles, turning a functional piece into something worth noticing.

Frequently asked

Solid brass throughout — no hollow core, no composite fill. Brass gives the pull its characteristic weight and means the grooves and finish hold up through years of daily opening and closing.

Cabinets, drawers, and cupboard fronts. The five available lengths cover everything from narrow drawer fronts to wider cabinet doors. It works in kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes, and furniture pieces.

Yes — the cylindrical form and grooved detailing sit comfortably in both contemporary and traditional settings. The gold brass finish bridges modern cabinetry and period furniture without looking out of place.

The cylinder diameter is sized for a natural grip, and the grooves give the fingers something to hold rather than sliding on a smooth surface. It's an ergonomic pull that improves with the frequency of use.

Yes — it mounts through standard pre-drilled holes with the included screws. Hole spacing scales with each length, so choose the right length for your existing holes or mark new ones.

Yes — the grooves improve grip, which matters most on larger drawers and heavy cabinet doors. They also catch light differently than a smooth bar, giving the pull visual depth without relying on ornamentation.

Solid brass with grooved detailing reads as considered rather than decorative — the kind of detail that elevates a kitchen or wardrobe without announcing itself. It ages well, which adds to that sense of quality over time.

Yes — solid brass is one of the most durable materials used in hardware. The Bellinge is built for the repetition of daily kitchen or furniture use, backed by Nava's 1-year warranty.

Yes — the solid brass construction and through-bolt mounting make it mechanically solid. The largest sizes (21.9 and 25.1 cm) are particularly well-suited to heavier cabinet doors.

Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove fingerprints and dust. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, which can strip the finish. The gold brass tone is designed to deepen slightly with age.
