Yes — the Batten runs on 90–260V and is designed for standard hardwired wall mounting. It connects to your existing mains wiring the same way any wall sconce would; a certified electrician can confirm compatibility on site.
The backplate and frame are iron with a brass finish. The shades are textured glass — chosen for how the surface diffuses and scatters light rather than simply transmitting it. Both materials are treated to resist corrosion and scratching.
The Batten mounts directly to the wall with standard brackets. Connecting to your mains wiring is straightforward for an electrician — the smooth backplate means the wall surface is protected during installation, not scuffed.
Yes — wall mounting hardware is included. For multi-light configurations (4, 6, or 9 discs), the backplate spans the full length and mounts at both ends; all fixings are in the box.
50,000 hours — approximately 17 years at 8 hours per day. The Batten uses integrated LEDs, so there's nothing to replace on a regular cycle; the fixture is designed to run without maintenance for its effective life.
Wipe the brass frame with a soft dry cloth. For the glass discs, use a lightly damp lint-free cloth to lift dust without scratching the texture. Avoid chemical cleaners or abrasive cloths on either surface.
No — the Batten is designed for indoor wall mounting. It's not IP-rated for rain or humidity exposure. For outdoor or bathroom use, a fixture rated to at least IP44 is needed.
Dimming is available on request — let us know at the time of ordering. The integrated LED is compatible with standard wall dimmers when the fixture is configured for it; we'll set this up before shipping.
