The Object

Diamond cut into aluminiumgrip and form

The Averoy takes an aluminium bar and cuts a diamond pattern across the grip — not a surface treatment but a proper knurl that gives the hand real traction with every pull. Five lengths from 8 to 40cm cover everything from a spice drawer to a full wardrobe panel door. Gold or black finish, both durable.
Why you'll love it
  • Diamond-pattern knurl provides genuine grip — not just texture
  • Five lengths from 8cm to 40cm — one handle family, all drawers
  • Solid aluminium — won't crack or flex under repeated use
  • Gold or black finish to complement most cabinet palettes
  • Simple installation with included hardware
Details

No wiring here — just careful measuring, drilling, and mounting. Mortice locks take a bit more patience than a simple knob.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — surface installation on doors, drawers, or cabinetry; check your product's dimensions for placement and drilling points

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver (Phillips and flathead), drill and drill bits, Allen key
  • Tape measure, pencil, level
  • Chisel (for mortice lock installation)
  • Screws and anchors, safety goggles

Step by step

  1. Cabinet hardware — mark drilling points — use a tape measure and pencil; a template helps for uniformity across multiple pieces.
  2. Cabinet hardware — drill holes — use a bit matched to the screw diameter, keeping the drill straight.
  3. Cabinet hardware — mount — insert screws from inside the cabinet or drawer, secure the hardware on the front face, and tighten without overtightening.
  4. Cabinet hardware — align and inspect — confirm straightness and spacing before fully securing.
  5. Thumb lock or dummy handle — confirm orientation — determine left- or right-hand door swing and adjust as needed.
  6. Thumb lock or dummy handle — mark installation height — typically 36–38 inches from the floor to the handle center; align the mounting plate.
  7. Thumb lock or dummy handle — drill and attach — drill pilot holes and secure the backplate and handle with the included screws. Dummy handles install directly, no latch mechanism.
  8. Thumb lock only — install the strike plate — mark the latch location on the door frame, chisel a recess if needed, and screw the strike plate in.
  9. Mortice lock — cut the mortice pocket — use a chisel and drill to create a cavity in the door edge, following the provided measurements.
  10. Mortice lock — insert the lock body — fit it into the cavity and attach through the faceplate with screws.
  11. Mortice lock — install the handle — align the spindle through the lock, attach handles on both sides, and tighten with a screwdriver or Allen key.
  12. Mortice lock — install the cylinder (if applicable) — insert the key cylinder and secure with the cylinder screw from the door edge.
  13. Mortice lock — mount the strike plate — align with the latch mechanism and secure to the door frame.

Good to know

  • Double-check measurements before drilling.
  • Use a level for consistent alignment across multiple units.
  • If you're unfamiliar with mortice installation, consult a locksmith or professional.
  • Make sure all moving parts operate smoothly before final tightening.
  • Dummy handles are decorative or pull-only — they don't engage latches or locks.

The finish

Knurled aluminiumcut for grip, not decoration

The diamond pattern is machine-cut into the aluminium bar rather than stamped or printed — the ridges have real depth and give fingers something to grip even when hands are wet or oily. Two finishes are applied as durable coatings over the aluminium body: gold and black, both consistent in tone and resistant to the daily contact of repeated pulling.

Frequently asked

The clean geometric profile works well in transitional settings, and the gold finish can complement brass hardware common in period homes. They read contemporary in modern settings and understated in older ones.

Solid aluminium bar with a durable coated finish in gold or black. Aluminium is lightweight yet rigid — it won't flex or crack under repeated pulling, even on heavier cabinet doors.

Aluminium doesn't corrode under normal indoor conditions, and the coated finish resists the oils and moisture from daily hand contact. The knurl pattern is cut into the body rather than applied, so it won't wear away.

Yes — the diamond knurl provides real tactile purchase without sharp edges. It's sized and angled to feel positive in the hand without being aggressive, even after repeated daily use throughout a kitchen.

No — the pull bars install with standard screws through pre-drilled holes in the cabinet face. A drill and screwdriver are all that's needed. All mounting hardware is included in the box.

The diamond knurl introduces a subtle geometric detail that reads well across an entire kitchen or wardrobe — visible up close but not competing with the cabinet itself at normal room scale.

None — wipe with a damp cloth to remove fingerprints or grease. The aluminium body and coated finish don't need polishing or conditioning. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could dull the surface finish.

Yes — standard hole spacing across all five lengths, and the mounting hardware is in the box. Mark the holes, drill, and screw in from the inside of the cabinet door or drawer front. Under five minutes.

Yes — the Averoy Pull Bar includes a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects, extendable to 2 or 3 years on request. A 14-day return window applies if it's not right for your cabinetry.
