The Object

Texturepressed into each tile at manufacture

The Asaa is a 30 x 30 cm tile formed from PVC into a continuous wave. Installed edge to edge, the tiles build a textured surface that catches light differently through the day — the depth shifts from solid to shadowed as the light angle changes. Lightweight enough to glue directly to the wall. Paintable. Moisture-resistant.
Why you'll love it
  • 3D wave texture creates shadow depth that shifts as the light changes through the day
  • PVC resists moisture, everyday contact, and common cleaning products
  • Lightweight tiles install with adhesive — no drilling or specialist tools needed
  • Suitable for living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and offices
  • Paintable white finish accepts standard interior paint without priming
Details

Three ways to install, depending on your panel — nail gun, peel-and-stick, or glue-on. Pick the one that matches what you ordered.

Before you begin

  • Prep — walls should be clean, dry, and smooth; remove dust, grease, nails, and flaky paint
  • Layout — measure and mark your starting line with a level and pencil, and lay out panels on the floor first to visualize placement

What you'll need

  • Tape measure, level, pencil or chalk line
  • Utility knife or fine-tooth saw, clean cloth
  • Caulk gun (if using adhesive), rubber roller (for peel-and-stick), brad nail gun (for nail gun install)

Step by step

  1. Nail gun — for thicker or heavier panels like wood/MDF. Locate wall studs with a stud finder and mark them.
  2. Nail gun — start at the bottom corner and align your first panel to your guidelines.
  3. Nail gun — fasten into studs — nails every 12–16".
  4. Nail gun — fit remaining panels tightly together and continue fastening. Fill nail holes with wood filler or color-matched putty. Optionally, add caulk between panels for seamless joints. Leave a 1/8" gap at edges for expansion.
  5. Peel-and-stick — for lightweight panels with pre-applied adhesive. Wipe the wall clean of dust and grease and let it dry fully. Measure and draw a level starting line.
  6. Peel-and-stick — peel and place — remove the adhesive backing from the first panel, align carefully, and press onto the wall starting at one edge.
  7. Peel-and-stick — roll it flat — use a rubber roller to apply even pressure, then continue placing panels tightly against each other. Avoid repositioning — the adhesive is strongest on first contact.
  8. Glue-on — for panels without adhesive, like solid PVC, composite, or acoustic. Clean the wall surface thoroughly.
  9. Glue-on — apply adhesive in an "S" or zig-zag pattern on the back of the panel.
  10. Glue-on — press into place — align to your guide marks and press firmly against the wall. Use painter's tape to hold it if needed.
  11. Glue-on — repeat and finish — continue with remaining panels, keeping spacing even and level. Wipe away any adhesive squeeze-out with a damp cloth. Let adhesive cure 24–48 hours before applying pressure or weight.

On the material

PVCwave pressed during manufacture

Each tile is formed from a single piece of PVC — no joins, no separate pieces that can detach over time. The wave pattern is pressed during manufacture, not applied on top, so it holds its definition through cleaning and repainting. The white finish is a starting point: it accepts standard interior paint applied with a roller for a consistent finish over the textured surface.

Frequently asked

Pressed PVC — a single-piece construction with no joins. The material is lightweight, moisture-resistant, and durable under everyday wall contact.

Each tile is 30 x 30 cm (12" x 12"). To calculate how many you need, divide your total wall area in cm² by 900, then add 10% for cuts at edges and corners.

Apply adhesive to the back of each tile and press firmly to the wall. No drilling or specialist tools are required. Allow the adhesive to cure fully before painting or applying pressure to the surface.

Yes — PVC resists moisture and wipes clean. Use a moisture-rated adhesive and ensure the wall surface is sealed before installation in wet areas.

Yes — wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The PVC surface does not absorb moisture or stain under normal use.

The PVC layer adds a small amount of thermal insulation to the wall surface. It is not a primary insulation solution, but it can marginally reduce heat transfer and dampen minor sound.

Yes — the white PVC surface accepts standard interior wall paint without a primer. Use a roller rather than a brush for the most even coverage over the textured surface.

Living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, bathrooms, and offices. The tiles work on any flat, dry wall surface that adhesive will bond to.

Measure the total wall area you want to cover in cm², divide by 900, then add around 10% for cuts at edges, corners, and around outlets.

The PVC is manufactured to meet RoHS and environmental standards. If material certifications are a priority for your project, contact us and we'll share the full documentation.
