The Amerongen mounts to the wall with included hardware, but connects to a mains circuit. We recommend installation by a certified electrician to ensure safe wiring and correct load management.
Use a soft dry cloth on the gold frame and a slightly damp cloth on the crystal surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents — they can dull the finish and loosen the crystal adhesive. Clean when the fixture is off and cool.
Yes — the gold finish is applied to stainless steel, which does not rust, and the coating is formulated to resist temperature changes and fading under prolonged LED use.
The Amerongen uses E14 LED bulbs, which draw a fraction of the power of equivalent incandescent sources. LED output remains consistent over time, unlike halogen which dims progressively.
E14 LED bulbs typically last 15,000–25,000 hours depending on brand and use pattern. At 4 hours per evening, that is 10–17 years. Replacement bulbs are widely available.
The Amerongen is not rated for wet or damp locations. It suits bedrooms, hallways, living areas, and dining rooms. For bathroom use, a fixture with an appropriate IP rating is required.

The Amerongen connects to a standard two-wire mains supply. A certified electrician matches live and neutral at the wall box before securing the backplate. We do not recommend self-installation for hardwired fixtures.
