Yes — natural rattan and a petal form suit a wide range of interiors, from period homes to contemporary spaces with an organic or Japandi aesthetic.
The shade is rattan strips woven around a metal frame. The beige finish reflects the natural colour of the rattan — no dye or paint is applied on top.
Each fixture is woven individually — rattan strips are soaked until pliable, bent around the metal armature, and bound at the intersections to hold the petal form. No two are exactly identical.
The Alcala is designed for hardwired ceiling installation and is not configured for wall mounting as a standard product.
Yes — installation instructions are included in the box. We recommend that the electrical connection is completed by a qualified electrician.
One E27-base LED bulb, included in the box. Standard E27 bulbs are widely available if a replacement is ever needed.
Dust the rattan shade with a soft dry brush or a low-suction vacuum attachment. Avoid damp cloths directly on the weave — sustained moisture can soften the rattan over time.
The included E27 LED is rated to 50,000 hours. The rattan shade is durable under normal indoor conditions — avoid direct moisture and sustained high heat.
The open weave filters light into soft, layered patterns on the ceiling and walls — the effect is warm and unhurried, the opposite of a bright, direct light source.
