The Object

Set close to the ceilingglow held low

The Albox pairs a travertine body with a solid wood top, the stone's weight balanced by a recessed LED that pools softly beneath it. Its compact form sits flush and stays quiet — structure without bulk. The travertine face carries natural pores and tonal drift, no two quite alike.
Why you'll love it
  • Solid travertine body — natural pore texture, grounded feel
  • Recessed LED softens into a warm, low pool of light
  • Compact form sits close to ceiling, uncluttered look
  • Wood-and-stone contrast, tactile and warm
  • Works alone or repeated for architectural rhythm
Details

A close-to-ceiling install for low-clearance rooms — power off, mount the bracket, match the wires, done.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — direct to a standard ceiling junction box; sits close against the ceiling
  • Dimming — most socketed models dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Ceilings — flat ceilings only; for vaulted or sloped ceilings, look at semi-flush or pendant options instead
  • Power — hardwired to your home's electrical system

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — shut it off at the breaker panel and confirm with a voltage tester.
  2. Remove the fixture cover — twist or unclip the outer shade or base cover to expose the mounting plate and wiring.
  3. Install the mounting bracket — attach it to the ceiling junction box with the supplied screws, secure and level.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the junction box.
  5. Attach the fixture base — lift into place, align with the bracket, and secure with the provided screws so it sits flush against the ceiling.
  6. Reattach the cover — twist, clip, or fasten the decorative cover or diffuser back on.
  7. Restore power and test.

Good to know

  • Great for standard or low ceilings — hallways, bedrooms, closets.
  • Confirm your junction box can support the fixture's weight.
  • Follow local electrical codes.
  • When in doubt, bring in a licensed electrician.

On the stone

Travertinecarrying its own pattern

Each Albox is cut from natural travertine, so the surface carries pores and tonal shifts that no mould could replicate. Paired with a solid wood top, the stone reads warm rather than cold. Set close to the ceiling, it reads as quiet structure — a detail, not a statement.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Three things that set the Albox apart.
Low glow

The recessed LED casts a soft, diffused pool of light instead of a harsh downward beam.

Stone body

Solid travertine holds natural pores and tonal variation, so each fixture reads slightly different.

Close fit

The compact, low-profile form sits flush for rooms with tight ceiling clearance.

Frequently asked

The Albox pairs a solid travertine body with a wood top in a beige tone. The stone carries natural pores and gentle tonal variation, so the texture is never perfectly uniform — that's part of the material, not a flaw.

Yes — the Albox ships with a replaceable E27 LED bulb (7W, 700 lm) already fitted, so it's ready to install as soon as it arrives.

Dimming is available on request — let us know when you order and we'll configure it before it ships. It's compatible with most standard wall dimmers.

The Albox's compact, close-to-ceiling form works well in hallways, bedrooms, and low-ceiling living spaces where you want structure without visual weight.

It runs on 90–260V, which covers standard residential wiring across North America, Europe, Australia, and most other regions — no adaptor needed.

Yes — the recessed LED sits behind the stone edge, so the glow softens into a warm, diffused pool beneath the fixture rather than a direct beam.

Yes — it uses a standard E27 base, so you can swap the bulb yourself when needed rather than replacing the whole fixture.

Very close — at just 9 cm tall with a 10 cm canopy, it's designed for low-clearance ceilings where a pendant would feel too heavy.

The Albox comes in a beige wood-and-stone finish. Each piece varies naturally with the travertine's own veining and tone.

No two are identical — natural travertine carries its own pores and tonal drift, so each Albox has a slightly unique face.
