Yes. The Abild mounts to tile, hardwood, laminate, and concrete using standard floor fixings included in the box. The base plate distributes load broadly enough to work on all common interior surfaces without damaging the floor finish.
Yes. The soft-touch mechanism at the contact point cushions the door edge on impact. The base plate is smooth on the underside so it does not scratch the floor, even on polished stone or lacquered hardwood.

Yes. Brass does not rust — it is not an iron alloy, so it cannot oxidise the way steel does. In humid conditions it may develop a slight surface patina over years, which can be polished back or left as-is without affecting performance.
The Abild handles standard interior doors up to approximately 40 kg. For particularly heavy solid-core or fire-rated doors, confirm with your installer that the floor fixing is adequate for the load.
No. The Abild has no moving parts that require lubrication. An occasional wipe with a damp cloth keeps the finish clean. If the brushed surface dulls over years of contact, a light buff with a brass cloth restores it.
