Light caught betweendisc after disc after disc

The Stenderup stacks layered glass discs on an iron frame, so the light doesn't just fall downward — it reflects and refracts through each layer, building depth as it goes. The warm-toned glass turns illumination into atmosphere. Thirteen E14 bulbs on a central rod suspension, in two sizes and two finishes: gold for warmth, grey for restraint.
Why you'll love it
  • Layered glass discs scatter light into depth and shadow
  • Warm-toned glass diffuses glow, never harsh
  • Iron frame in gold or grey — two distinct reads
  • Two sizes: D60 cm and D80 cm
  • 13 replaceable E14 LED bulbs, cord adjustable to 1 m
Details

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

Good to know

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

On the glass

Warm-toned discsdepth built layer by layer

Each glass disc in the Stenderup is individually set into the iron frame, so the assembly reads as fluid rather than mechanical. Warm-toned glass means the light it gives is amber and settled, not white and flat. The stacking creates a visual layering effect that changes depending on your viewing angle.

Innovative engineering · intelligent design
Built depth

Stacked glass layers create dimension — light behaves differently at every angle.

Warm glow

Warm-toned glass softens the output into an ambient, room-settling light.

Frequently asked

The Stenderup is constructed from iron and warm-toned glass — an iron structural frame supporting individually set glass discs that diffuse and layer the light.

Dimming is available on request — let us know when you order and we'll configure it for compatibility with a standard wall dimmer. The standard version is not dimmable.

The Stenderup uses 13 E14 LED bulbs, all included. They are replaceable, so you can swap them out individually if any need changing over time.

The Stenderup operates on 90–260V AC — compatible with electrical standards worldwide, including the US, UK, EU, and Australia.

The Stenderup comes in two diameters — 60 cm and 80 cm — and two finishes: gold for warmth, grey for a cooler, more restrained look.

The Stenderup suits dining rooms, living rooms, and entryways — any space where you want a sculptural centrepiece overhead. It is for indoor use only.

Yes — the cord adjusts up to 1 m, letting you set the Stenderup at the right height over a table or in an open space.

We recommend installation by a certified electrician. The Stenderup is hardwired to a standard junction box — not a plug-in fitting.

The layered glass and iron frame work well in modern, contemporary, and Art Deco-influenced interiors. Gold reads warmer; grey suits more restrained, minimal schemes.

Yes — the Stenderup ships with all required mounting hardware for a standard ceiling junction box installation. Full instructions are included in the box.
