Installation Guide

A close-to-ceiling install for low-clearance rooms — power off, mount the bracket, match the wires, done.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — direct to a standard ceiling junction box; sits close against the ceiling
  • Dimming — most socketed models dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Ceilings — flat ceilings only; for vaulted or sloped ceilings, look at semi-flush or pendant options instead
  • Power — hardwired to your home's electrical system

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — shut it off at the breaker panel and confirm with a voltage tester.
  2. Remove the fixture cover — twist or unclip the outer shade or base cover to expose the mounting plate and wiring.
  3. Install the mounting bracket — attach it to the ceiling junction box with the supplied screws, secure and level.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the junction box.
  5. Attach the fixture base — lift into place, align with the bracket, and secure with the provided screws so it sits flush against the ceiling.
  6. Reattach the cover — twist, clip, or fasten the decorative cover or diffuser back on.
  7. Restore power and test.

Does the Carpiquet Ceiling Light come with a bulb?

Yes — G9 LED bulbs are included for all heads. They're replaceable, so when one eventually reaches end-of-life you can swap it individually without replacing the fitting.

What type of lighting does the fixture provide?

Warm ambient lighting — the frosted glass diffuses each G9 LED into a soft, even glow with no visible source or glare. The effect is comfortable rather than task-bright.

No — it hangs from a ceiling-mounted canopy, dropping below the ceiling on the arm assembly. Exact drop depends on the suspension wire, which is adjustable at install.

Dimming is available on request — let us know when ordering and we'll configure the driver accordingly. G9 bulbs are broadly dimmer-compatible once the driver is set.
