Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

The Lucarne's copper frame rings each tier horizontally, holding rows of patterned glass petals that hang at a slight angle — so light refracts through the facets and then scatters off the petal below. The gold trim catches what misses the glass and sends it back warm. Lit, the whole fixture reads as depth rather than surface.

The Lucarne Chandelier operates on 90–260V — compatible with electrical systems in Europe, North America, Australia, and most of the world. No converter needed.

How energy-efficient are the LED lights?

The Lucarne's E14 LEDs are energy-efficient by design, and rated at 50,000 hours of operating life. At eight hours of daily use that's over 17 years before replacement.

Can it be installed on sloped ceilings?

Sloped-ceiling compatibility is available on request. Let us know your ceiling angle when ordering and we'll configure the suspension accordingly.

What is the warranty period?

The Lucarne Chandelier comes with a 1-year warranty, extendable to 2, 3, or 5 years. Contact us after purchase for extension options.

Are there any special care instructions?

The frame is temperature and fade-resistant — no special treatment needed. Keep the glass petals free of dust and the finish will stay consistent. Avoid abrasive cloths on the copper trim.
