Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

The Monsoon Chandelier is hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box. We recommend a certified electrician for installation — the process is straightforward once wiring is in place, and mounting hardware is included.

What materials are used in the chandelier?

The frame is iron with a hand-finished gold coat. The globe shades are acrylic — lightweight, clear, and durable. LEDs are included and replaceable.

How adjustable is the height of the chandelier?

The cord adjusts up to 80cm from the ceiling canopy. For greater drops — stairwells or double-height rooms — contact us and we can accommodate longer suspensions on request.

Yes. The Monsoon works well in rooms with high or double-height ceilings — the tall vertical stem reads well from below, and the drop can be extended on request for very tall spaces.

How do I maintain and clean the chandelier?

Dust the globe shades with a soft, dry cloth. The iron frame can be wiped with a slightly damp cloth. Switch off power before cleaning — no specialist products needed.

What is the wattage of the chandelier?

The Monsoon Chandelier ranges from 12W (2-head, 1200 lm) to 168W (28-head, 16,800 lm). Each head draws 6W, so output scales directly with configuration.

Is the chandelier compatible with dimmer switches?
