Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

The frame comes in black or gold. Both work across warm and cool colour temperatures, so the same fixture reads differently depending on the emitting colour you select.

Is the emitting color adjustable?

Yes — the dimmable configuration includes a remote that adjusts colour temperature between 3000K (warm white) and 6000K (cool white). App control is also available on this configuration.

Is a remote included for dimming options?

A remote is included with the dimmable version, controlling both brightness and colour temperature. The standard non-dimming version does not require a remote.

How do I install this product?

The Hardegarijp hardwires to a standard ceiling junction box with a 2 m adjustable drop. We strongly recommend professional installation given the scale — especially for the 17 and 23-head versions.

Does this product come with a warranty?
