Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

Nava ships worldwide free of charge. Delivery typically takes 15–21 business days from the date of dispatch.

What materials are used in this product?

The Talc Pendant Light is built from acrylic (the diffuser disc) and aluminium (the mount and cord cap). Both are lightweight and durable for long-term use.

How do I install this fixture?

The Talc is hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box. Mounting hardware is included. We recommend professional installation by a certified electrician.

Is this product suitable for outdoor use?

No — the Talc Pendant Light is designed for indoor use only and is not weather-sealed.

Are there any maintenance requirements?

Minimal. Wipe the acrylic disc with a soft, dry cloth periodically. When the E27 LED eventually reaches end of life, replace it with any standard E27 bulb.

Can I adjust the height of the fixture?

The cord is set at up to 1.2 m. If a shorter drop is needed, your electrician can adjust the cord length during installation. The Talc is also sloped-ceiling compatible.

Does it come with a warranty?

Yes — the Talc Pendant Light comes with a 1-year warranty covering manufacturing defects. Extended options (2 or 3 years) are available — contact us after purchase to arrange.

How energy-efficient is the lighting?

The included E27 LED runs at 10W (1000lm) — significantly more efficient than an equivalent halogen or incandescent bulb for the same light output.

What rooms is this fixture best suited for?

Can this fixture be used with a dimmer switch?
