Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
Power — hardwired to your mains supply
Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't

What you'll need

Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
Wire nuts (included), ladder
Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
Power on and test.

Follow your local electrical codes.
For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

Each PVC petal is pressed to a precise curve that holds its shape and overlaps with the next, creating a layered shell around the bulb. Light doesn't bounce off the outside — it passes through the semi-translucent material, softened at each layer. The stem attaches at the centre crown, so the form stays balanced and the canopy sits cleanly against any ceiling type.

What materials are used in the fixture?

PVC petals formed into a lotus-like shade, with a standard metal canopy and cord. PVC is lightweight, durable, and semi-translucent — chosen here because light passes through it rather than bouncing off.

How long do the LEDs last?

The included E27 LED is rated to 50,000 hours under normal use. When it eventually needs replacing, any standard E27 bulb of similar wattage works as a direct swap.

Is this fixture suitable for any ceiling type?

Yes — it's sloped-ceiling compatible. The adjustable cord goes to 1.2 m, so you can set the drop height to suit the room without the fixture looking off-angle on a raked ceiling.

Does it come with installation instructions?

Yes — installation instructions are included in the box. The fixture hardwires to a ceiling junction box. Professional installation by a certified electrician is recommended.

Can it be mounted on the wall?

It's designed as a ceiling pendant. Wall mounting is not recommended — the cord and canopy are configured for ceiling drop, and the form reads best suspended from above.

How does the light's brightness compare to standard bulbs?

The included 15W LED at 1500 lm is roughly equivalent to a 100W incandescent in output — bright enough for ambient dining or bedroom light, softened further by the diffusing petals.

What voltage does it operate on?

90–260V — compatible with standard residential supply in most countries. No transformer or converter is needed.

Is the fixture energy-efficient?

Yes — at 15W for 1500 lm it's efficient. The LED converts most of its energy to light rather than heat, reducing both energy costs and the load on the room's climate control.
