Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
Power — hardwired to your mains supply
Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
Wire nuts (included), ladder
Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
Power on and test.

Follow your local electrical codes.
For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

Each Ejstrupholm is built by hand — copper strips are bent to the silhouette, and stained-glass panels are cut and soldered into the frame. The joins are part of the object: visible, honest, and consistent with how stained glass has been made for centuries. The result is a pendant that looks made rather than manufactured, with a warmth that comes from the material decisions as much as from the bulb behind the glass.

What materials are used?

A copper framework with stained-glass panels, assembled by hand. The copper is finished in brass or a wood-tone; the glass comes in beige, orange, or blue stained finishes.

Where can this pendant be installed?

Over dining tables, kitchen islands, in living rooms, or in entryways — anywhere the pendant has room to hang and be seen as the object it is. Height is adjustable to 1.2 m.
