Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

What is the shipping timeframe?

The Aperture ships free worldwide. Delivery is approximately 15–21 business days to most destinations. A tracking number is sent once your order dispatches.

Does the product come with installation instructions?

Yes, a full installation guide is included. The Aperture is hardwired to the ceiling circuit; professional installation by a licensed electrician is recommended.

How adjustable is the height?

The cord adjusts up to 1.5 m (4.9 ft) using the pulley mechanism — no tools or rewiring required. You can reposition the lamp at any point after installation.

What materials are used in its construction?

Precision-cut crystal elements in an aluminium frame. The aluminium is treated for corrosion and rust resistance; the crystal is selected for clarity and refractive quality.

Are the LEDs replaceable?

Yes. The Aperture uses standard G9 bulbs, which are widely available. Switch off the circuit, let the lamp cool, and swap in a new G9 — no need to return the fixture.

Is the finish resistant to corrosion?

Yes. The aluminium frame has a non-toxic, fade-resistant coating that protects against corrosion and temperature-related degradation in normal indoor conditions.

How energy-efficient is the light?

10W for 1000 lumens total — roughly equivalent to a 75W incandescent at one-eighth of the energy draw. The G9 LEDs are rated for 50,000 hours.

Are there different lighting modes?

Yes — warm white (2700–3000K), natural white (4000K), and cool white (5000–6500K). Switching between modes is done by the bulb fitted; the fixture supports all three G9 colour temperatures.

How safe is the paint used?

The finish is non-toxic and applied without heavy metals or high-VOC solvents. The Aperture holds UL, CE, ROHS, and several additional international safety certifications.
