Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

The acrylic spreads the integrated LED into a soft stream rather than a hot point, and sends it both up and down. The cord adjusts up to 1.5 metres, so you can set the exact drop for the spot — low over a kitchen nook or higher in a living area. Lock it at your chosen height during install.

Yes — it's built to resist heat and fading, so the finish and the light output hold steady over years of everyday use in kitchens, living rooms, and bedrooms.

How long do the LEDs last?

The integrated LEDs are rated to around 50,000 hours — years of regular use. Because they're built in, there's nothing to buy or swap; the fixture arrives ready to light.

What voltage is required?

It runs on a wide 90–260V range, so it works with standard household electrical in most countries without a converter.

Can it be mounted on any ceiling?

Yes — it mounts to a standard ceiling box and works on flat or sloped ceilings, thanks to the adjustable suspension. The mounting hardware is included.

Does it include all necessary mounting hardware?

Yes — the bracket, junction box, and fixings all come in the package, so it arrives ready to fit. We recommend a licensed electrician for the wiring.

Can it be dimmed?

Dimming can be set up on request — let us know before it ships and we'll configure it. Otherwise it runs from your wall switch like any standard ceiling fixture.
