Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

Panel by panel — copper leading holds the colour

Individual stained glass pieces are cut and set into a copper leading structure — a traditional craft technique that locks the colour and pattern into the shade permanently. The leading also provides the structural frame, meaning no separate metal cage is required. Each completed shade is tested for even light passage before dispatch.

What is the shipping timeframe?

Nava Decor ships worldwide with delivery typically in 15–21 business days from dispatch. You will receive tracking information as soon as your order leaves our fulfilment partner.

Is installation hardware included?

Yes — canopy, adjustable cord, and all mounting hardware are included. Note that an E27 bulb is not included and must be purchased separately — choose a warm-white option for the best effect through stained glass.

Does it require professional installation?

Yes — the Fluorite is hardwired to mains. A certified electrician should handle the junction box connection and cord adjustment. The installation process itself is straightforward once the ceiling is prepped.

How do I adjust the height?

The cord adjusts up to 1.5 m from the ceiling. Excess cord is coiled inside the canopy during installation — your electrician can set the final drop height before securing the canopy plate.

Is it compatible with dimmer switches?

No — the Fluorite is not configured for dimming. If a dimmable stained-glass pendant is important to you, please contact us before ordering and we can advise on alternatives.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No — the Fluorite is rated for standard indoor dry use only. It is not IP-rated for damp or wet environments. For bathrooms, please enquire about appropriate alternatives.

What is the return policy?

Nava Decor offers a 14-day return window from delivery. Items must be in original, undamaged condition. Contact us within that period to arrange collection or an exchange.

Is there a warranty?

Yes — a 1-year warranty as standard, extendable to 2, 3, or 5 years. The warranty covers manufacturing defects. Contact us after purchase to extend your coverage.

What type of bulb does it use?

E27 — a standard screw-base bulb widely available in hardware stores. Note that the bulb is not included with the Fluorite; purchase a warm-white E27 LED (2700–3000K) for the warmest colour effect through the stained glass.

How do I clean and maintain it?

Dust the glass panels gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water or solvent cleaners, which can affect the copper leading and glass coatings. Always isolate the power before cleaning.
