Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

The Oland is hardwired to a standard junction box. The cord and canopy are straightforward to connect; we recommend a certified electrician for a clean, safe result.

Is the light dimmable?

Dimming is available on request. Specify this when ordering and we will configure the Oland Pendant Light accordingly before shipping.

What type of bulbs are compatible?

The Oland takes a standard E27 base bulb. The bulb is not included — use any LED E27 you prefer, ideally 2700–3000K for the warmest result.

Dust the fabric shade with a soft dry brush or low-suction vacuum attachment. Avoid water or damp cloths on the fabric. Wipe the iron frame with a dry cloth.

Does it come with a warranty?

Can it be used in damp areas?

No — the Oland Pendant Light is rated for dry indoor spaces only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, covered outdoor areas, or kitchens directly above cooking zones.

What is the return policy?

Nava Decor offers a 14-day return window from the date of delivery. The item must be in its original condition and packaging. Contact us to start a return.

Is it suitable for high ceilings?

Yes. The cord extends to 1.2 m as standard, which suits ceilings up to about 3.5 m. For higher ceilings, contact us to request a longer cord before ordering.
