  • Indoor/outdoor — not all models are weather-resistant; confirm the rating before using outdoors
  • Dimming — some lamps include a built-in dimming switch or work with plug-in dimmers
  • Bulbs — if your lamp uses replaceable bulbs, always match the recommended type and wattage

Step by step

  1. Unpack and inspect — check for damage or missing parts. If your model has a detachable shade or base, assemble per the included instructions.
  2. Choose a location — flat, stable surface where it won't be knocked over. For outdoor use, keep it dry and level, and away from water unless the lamp is explicitly water-resistant.
  3. Connect the power source — plug corded models into a nearby (weather-protected, if outdoors) outlet; insert batteries into the compartment for battery-powered models; position solar panels in direct sunlight for the initial charge.
  4. Install or check the bulb — screw it in gently and don't exceed the socket's max wattage. Integrated LED models skip this step.
  5. Turn on and adjust — use the switch, touch sensor, or remote to power it on, and adjust brightness or modes if your model supports it. Solar or motion-activated lamps may need a full charge cycle first.

Is the light emitted soft and non-glaring?

Yes. The linen shade diffuses the E26 bulb into a soft, even spread — no bright spot at the top of the shade, no harsh downward beam. Comfortable for a bedside reading light or an evening lamp.

How durable is the metal construction?

The base and arm are iron with a chrome finish — solid and resistant to everyday knocks. The chrome will not chip or flake under normal domestic use. The lamp weighs 800 g, stable on any surface.

Does it have USB charging ports?

Yes — two USB-A ports are built into the base. They charge phones, tablets, and most USB-powered devices. No separate adapter needed; plug the lamp in and both ports are live.

Can it be placed on any shelf or surface?

Yes. The Fejan is a corded plug-in lamp — place it on any stable flat surface near a wall outlet. Its small footprint (15 cm wide) means it fits on narrow bedside tables, shelves, and desks.

How long do the LEDs last?

The included E26 LED is rated at 50,000 hours. At 5 hours of daily use, that is over 27 years. When it eventually needs replacing, any E26 LED from a hardware store will fit.

What voltage does it operate at?

90–260V — compatible with electrical systems in North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. No converter is needed in any of these regions.

Is it easy to install?

No installation needed. The Fejan plugs into a standard wall outlet via its corded cable. Place it, plug in, and it is ready — the USB ports activate as soon as the lamp is plugged in.

How do I operate it?

A simple on/off switch on the cord controls the lamp. Press once to turn on, again to turn off. The USB ports are active whenever the lamp is plugged in, regardless of whether the light is on.

What kind of aesthetic does it match?
