Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

The shade is stone (a dense, smooth-finished mineral composite) on a metal suspension hardware in the chosen finish — black, gold, or white.

How long is the expected lifespan?

The stone shade will last the life of the fixture. The E27 LED bulb included is rated for long-term use; when it eventually reaches end of life, a standard E27 LED is an easy user replacement.

What kind of light bulbs does it use?

A replaceable E27 LED, 15W (1500 lm), included. Standard E27 bulbs are available in any hardware or lighting store, so replacement is simple and inexpensive.

Is the installation process DIY-friendly?

The fixture is hardwired — the cord connects to a ceiling junction box. Sloped-ceiling hardware is included. For safety, we recommend professional installation by a certified electrician.
