Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

How easy is the installation process?

The Eave is a hardwired ceiling fitting. It mounts to a standard junction box with the included canopy and bracket — professional installation by a certified electrician is recommended.

Is the paint non-toxic and durable?

Yes — the iron frame is finished with a non-toxic, temperature-resistant coating that resists fading over time. It stays looking clean with minimal upkeep.

Can the wire height be adjusted?

Yes — the cord adjusts to 1.5 m, so you can set the pendant exactly where it works best over your table or in your room. Sloped-ceiling compatible as well.

How long do the LEDs last?

The G9 LED bulbs are rated to 50,000 hours of operation. When they eventually do need replacing, standard G9 LEDs are widely available.

Is the light energy-saving?

Yes — the integrated LED technology draws 18–36W depending on configuration while delivering 1800–3600 lm of output, keeping running costs low.

Yes — a canopy and all necessary mounting hardware are included. The canopy is 10 cm in diameter and covers a standard ceiling junction box.
