Installation Guide

Most wall lamps are a simple bracket-and-wire job — but check your power type first, since hardwired, plug-in, and rechargeable models each install a little differently.

Before you begin

  • Dimming — most socketed lamps dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Power — hardwired, plug-in, or rechargeable depending on the model; check your product details
  • Mounting — wall-mount, hardware included
  • Indoor/outdoor — confirm your model is rated for outdoor use before installing outside

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver
  • Wire nuts (included for hardwired models)
  • Voltage tester
  • Power drill (for new mounting locations)

Step by step

  1. Identify your power type — hardwired, plug-in, or rechargeable. Follow the steps below for yours.
  2. If hardwired: turn off the power — switch off at your main electrical panel and confirm with a voltage tester.
  3. If hardwired: remove the old lamp — unscrew it and disconnect the wires by removing the wire nuts.
  4. If hardwired: attach the new mounting bracket — align it with your junction box or marked wall location and secure with the included screws.
  5. If hardwired: connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Twist and secure with wire nuts, then tuck neatly into the junction box.
  6. If hardwired: mount the fixture — align with the bracket and secure with the provided screws.
  7. If hardwired: install the bulb — correct type and wattage, if your model uses one.
  8. If hardwired: restore power and test.
  9. If plug-in: mount the bracket — with anchors or screws, then attach the fixture and plug it into a nearby outlet. Route the cord neatly.
  10. If rechargeable: mount the bracket — with screws and anchors, fully charge the lamp with the included cable, then install it onto the bracket and power on.

  • Dust and clean your fixture regularly to keep it looking its best.

What is the shipping timeframe?

Orders ship within 1–3 business days. Delivery takes approximately 15–21 business days. Nava Decor offers free worldwide shipping on all orders.

Is the installation process DIY or requires a professional?

The Ketch wall-mounts with included brackets and screws — the physical mounting is straightforward. We recommend a certified electrician to connect the wiring to the mains supply.

How energy-efficient are the LEDs?

Highly efficient — the Ketch uses 6–14W depending on the length, producing 660–1540 lm. That's comparable brightness to a conventional bulb at a fraction of the energy draw.

What kind of maintenance is required?

Very little. Wipe the aluminium body with a dry or slightly damp cloth occasionally. The fade and temperature-resistant finish doesn't need polishing or treatment.

Are the LEDs replaceable?

The Ketch uses an integrated LED — not a replaceable bulb. The integrated unit is rated at 50,000 hours, so replacement is rarely needed.

Does it come with a warranty?

Yes — every Nava Decor purchase comes with a 1-year warranty, extendable to 2, 3, or 5 years. Contact our team for extension details.

What materials are used in the body?

The body is moulded from a single piece of aluminium with an acrylic diffuser front. No plastic frame parts — just aluminium and acrylic throughout.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

No — the Ketch is designed for indoor use only. For outdoor walls, contact us for weatherproof alternatives.

How does it connect to the electrical system?

Hardwired to mains. Screw the bracket to the wall, connect the two lead wires to your supply, and fix the body in place. A certified electrician should handle the wiring.

Can it be dimmed?

Dimming is available on request — let us know when placing your order and we'll configure it. Standard integrated LEDs without the dimming option are not compatible with external dimmers.
