Step 1: Pre-Installation Preparation

• Turn off the power to the electrical circuit at the circuit breaker or fuse box to ensure safety during installation.
• Gather the necessary tools including a screwdriver, wire strippers, wire nuts, and a ladder if needed.

Step 2: Assemble the Fixture

• Refer to the manufacturer's instructions to assemble the lighting fixture components accurately. This may involve attaching arms, shades, or other elements securely.

Step 3: Mounting the Fixture

• Securely mount the fixture's canopy or base to the electrical box using the provided mounting screws. For pendant lights, attach the canopy to the ceiling, allowing ample clearance for the pendant to hang freely.

Step 4: Electrical Connections

• Carefully connect the fixture's wires to the corresponding wires in the electrical box according to standard wiring practices. Connect the fixture's black (hot) wire to the black wire in the electrical box, the white (neutral) wire to the white wire, and the green or bare wire (ground) to the ground wire or grounding screw.

Step 5: Secure and Test

• Once the wiring connections are made, carefully tuck the wires into the electrical box and secure the fixture in place using the provided screws or mounting hardware. Restore power to the circuit and test the fixture to ensure proper functionality.

Step 6: Adjustment and Final Touches

• Adjust the position of the fixture as necessary and install any decorative elements or accessories provided with the fixture, such as shades or decorative bulbs.

• Dispose of any packaging materials responsibly and ensure the work area is clean and safe.
