Installation Guide

A standard hardwired ceiling install — most of it is switching off the power and matching three wires. Set your hanging height before you connect anything, and you're most of the way there.

Before you begin

  • Mounting — to a standard ceiling junction box
  • Power — hardwired to your mains supply
  • Dimming — socketed bulbs dim; integrated-LED models don't
  • Drop — arrives at 47" (1.2 m); want it shorter or longer? Just email us before it ships
  • Ceilings — flat, and most sloped (check the product specs)

What you'll need

  • Screwdriver, voltage tester, wire stripper
  • Wire nuts (included), ladder
  • Drill (only for a new junction box or non-standard ceiling)

Step by step

  1. Turn off the power — switch off the lighting circuit at the breaker, then confirm it's dead with a voltage tester.
  2. Mount the bracket — fasten the included bracket to the junction box, snug and level.
  3. Set your height — before wiring, adjust the cord, chain, or downrod to your drop and lock it at the canopy.
  4. Connect the wires — black to black, white to white, green or bare to ground. Secure each with a wire nut and tuck them into the box.
  5. Attach the fixture — line the canopy up with the bracket and fix it flush with the provided screws or caps.
  6. Add the bulbs — correct type and wattage; if dimming, check the bulbs match your wall dimmer.
  7. Power on and test.

  • Follow your local electrical codes.
  • For high or angled ceilings, or anything complex, bring in a licensed electrician.
  • Don't over-tighten decorative parts; dust gently with a soft cloth.

We recommend it. The Panicle is hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box — a certified electrician ensures the connection is safe and the cord is set to the right drop height.

What materials are used?

The shade is cast from durable resin — lightweight relative to its size, and finished precisely. The frame and canopy are metal. One E27 LED bulb is included.

Is this fixture energy-efficient?

Yes — the Panicle uses a 15W LED (1500 lm), which delivers strong, even illumination at a fraction of the draw of an equivalent incandescent. The bulb is also replaceable, not disposable.

Can I use it in any room?

The Panicle works well over dining tables, kitchen islands, living room seating areas, or as a statement piece in a bedroom. It's not rated for outdoor or wet areas.

Does it come with a warranty?

Yes — the Panicle Pendant Light includes a 1-year warranty as standard, extendable to 2, 3, or 5 years. Contact our team at Nava Decor to activate an extension.

How do I clean and maintain it?

Wipe the resin shade with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth. No abrasive cleaners. The metal parts can be wiped with a dry cloth to maintain the finish.

Is it compatible with dimmer switches?

The Panicle is not dimmable in its standard configuration. If you need dimming, contact us before ordering and we can discuss options with your electrician.

Does it include all necessary mounting hardware?

Yes — canopy, cord, adjustable chain, and all fasteners are included. The E27 LED bulb is also included; you just need a junction box and a certified installer.
